Disadvantages: No-one cares about joint honours students

This review isn't really about undergraduate course in general, only those that are Joint Honours. As that is what I did that is all I am really qualified to write about.

To simply sum up what I'm going to say about joint honours course, Don't Do Them.

Why? Well no-one cares about you, you don't belong to any single faculty and as such no-one really seems to be bothered about you at all. Lecturers don't take into consideration that you havent as much experience in a subject area as the single honours students and still expect you to be able to manage the work just as well as them, with only half the practice.

Also it is harder to get to know people when doing joint honours as you won't have all your lectures with the same group as single honours will and no-one ever seemed to take the time to get all the joint honours students together for a chance to meet.

So as I said, AVOID AVOID AVOID. Pick which subject you prefer and do that as single honours!

Other than the course issue though, I would wholely recomend Newcastle University. It has a very good campus situated right in the middle of town and is a excellent uni. Just don't do Joint Honours.
