... University is well respected, as a member of the red brick traditional school of universities it also offers a very wide range of courses. These tend to run along more traditional lines, such as engineering, medicine, maths, geography and english, rather than drama, sports science, computing and the like. ... started at Bristol in September 2009. I am in my first year studying for a MEng in Civil Engineering with Study in Continental Europe. I chose Bristol because it has a good academic reputation and I liked the city when I came for the open day. Since I arrived here the faculty of engineering has impressed me greatly. The pastoral care system seems to work very well. We are allocated a tutor who is responsible for about 6 people and I have already been given a lot of great useful advice from him.
