Advantages: stylish and good price
Disadvantages: only for short trips away
It's nearly that time of year when I have to go back home to Lancashire to visit family around July is usually the time, as I live down south now having settled here in the countryside and as I am only going over the weekend I had to buy a new bag.
Not only for this reason but I like to have new things with me when I go home as taking my tatty suitcase wouldn't look right and the inlaws would take the mickey out of me the all weekend.
I went to Marks and Spencers a few weeks ago and bought this Marks & Spencer Weekend Collection Overnight Bag for £55 and it looks very stylish and trendy and I am really happy with the quality of it. Mine looks like the one in the picture above apart from the colour, although I like the rich purple colour in the picture above the one I chose was a pale Latte which is like a creamy white. I have used the bag a couple of times so far before taking it up north just once for a mini break and a visit over last weekend to my friends house, she noticed the bag as soon as I got in so I had to tell her where I bought it from to stop her trying to blag mine off me.
The material of the bag is soft leather but thats not to say it isn't sturdy. The stitching looks very professional and looks like it isn't going to frazzle or come undone. It has two handles which can be carried on your arm or slung over your shoulder which ever is comfortable and depending on how much you've tried to stuff in to the bag.
The bag is made up of leather panels stitched together with the same coloured stitching as the bag.
It's lined inside with soft material also the same colour as the bag and it has a zip compartment for carrying the loose things you many take with you like mobile phone, passport and purse or make up bag.
It holds up to 1.056kg which I find is enough for me to go away with and is H32.5 x W49.5 x D20cm if you was wondering how much room it would take up on a train, bus or plane.
I haven't travelled with it on these but it does sling inside the boot of the car with plenty of room to spare.
It has a zip fastener which is a good solid one and has a little padlock on it so you can secure your things when you travel. There are other choices of colour if you don't like the purple or the latte one as it comes in pale pink, light coral, olive, and red so there's something to suit eveyone.
I really like this as it looks like a designer style and the leather is soft which makes it more good looking and not like a mini suitcase stlyed bag. It's easy to carry as I like to sling it over the shoulder and it easily holds all my things I take with me when I go off for the weekend, including my hair straightners.
Iif your looking for a stylish bag then this is a great one to choose for quality and style and the price is good too as it's around the average price you would pay for an overnight bag.
You can also clean it with a damp cloth buy don't get it soaked or the leather may start to crack and there are good leather products on the market that you can rub into the leather to make it last a little longer to get more value for your money.
Summary: looks really good
