Advantages: fits in with easyjet's restrictions
Disadvantages: looks awful, handle size not great.
I was shocked to see this on Dooyoo as I wouldn't really class it as a suitcase but more as a handbag. Anyway, I found this on new look's website when I was looking for a decent bag after my Paul's boutique one failed me (you can see review on my page). I actually wanted the Zebra bag but they had none in stock at the time so it had to be the rose bag.
*aesthetics*
I hated the look of this bag to start off with. I really did want the zebra print bag, but I had to stick with the rose one. If I'm being honest, I think it can look very granny-like and I hated the idea of walking about Luton airport with it. I took this on as carry-on luggage going to Turkey on an easy jet flight and it met the restrictions of the baggage allowance. This means that the baggage is infact within 56 x 45 x 25 and it left a lot of space when I was packing it. I had it fairly full, I packed in a few of my dresses that I didn't want in my suitcase as they would get crushed and I had a book sitting on top and a bottle of Coca-Cola. Although you must bear in mind airlines such as Ryanair have a much lesser baggage size allowance so I'm not sure if it would fit in one of their baskets you will have to check. The style has a pattern of roses on a black canvas, it is not overly textured but thank God it doesn't have that plasticy feel. It rolls out from two weels at one end, and the handles come out at one end, which I think can make the bag look a bit silly when walking around with it.
*Use*
It has a large zipped compartment with a zipped pouch at the front which is perfect for holding passports, papers and boarding cards. I found that if you pull the handle out and stand it up vertical the height is okay, however everything that Is in your bag will fall to one side which is absolutely pointless if you have folded everything up neatly. A good thing about this when I arrived at Glasgow coming back, I had to walk down several flights of stairs. It is good because you can simply wheel it, and when you come to an unexpected flight of stairs, it's a case of slipping the bars back in and picking up with the handles that are sitting waiting for you. This is a lot better than having to press silly little buttons, clip the handles back in, pick up with another tiny handle until you get to the flight of stairs. Then, you open it up again to roll it, and you come to another flight of stairs. So in one way it did save me a lot of hassle, and I felt a lot safer climbing down a flight of aircraft stairs with the bag on my shoulder as opposed to humping down a tiny suitcase.
*price*
I paid £20 for this case but it was on sale at that point, and it was reduced from about £30. I wouldn't pay £30 for one of these if I'm honest because even though it did work well for me, I don't the looks are up to scratch and you can find a £10 suitcase that does the trick. Although if you fly a lot with airlines such as easy jet or Ryanair(please check case restrictions, not sure about this airline), then this case can be a perfect little bag for taking on planes with you and it saves you the cost of paying £20 to check in your luggage!
*Overall opinion*
If I'm honest, I didn't think this did me much use. I used it on one holiday and then went back to using my old Dunlop case. I wish I never paid the price for it, and I'm going to sell it on eBay very soon (hint hint)
Summary: Not brillian but done the trick
