Samsonite 325 Series NRG
Advantages: Small but big enough
If you are looking for a nice compact little case that is perfect for weekends away then look no further than this Samsonite two wheeled case.
We've had this case for a number of years now and it has proved handy again and again. If you are someone who travels on airplanes like we do then this is definitely the case for you. What I really like about this small case is that its classified as cabin luggage so it will fit on a commercial flight as hand luggage. For example I often take this if I am going on an EasyJet flight and do not want to check in any luggage becasue you have to pay for bags so this suitcase works perfectly as handluggage and you don't need to worry about the size of it or extra charges.
The suitcase has two wheels at the back so in order to pull it along you simply tip it up and pull with the handle. I find the wheels go round well and I never usually have a problem with it tipping it when I am standing it up, except if maybe I have overfilled the front pocket but most times it stands up on its own which is nice.
There is a retractable handle at the top of the suitcase which pulls out easily and then clicks back into place when you are not using it. The handle is sturdy and pulls the suitcase well. I also find sometimes when I want to lift up the case but don't want to pull the handle down, like when I am on the Underground for example and know I will be using the handle when I get off the escalator, I sometimes just lift the suitcase with the handle fully extended and it withstands this weight and way of carrying it too. The only thing I don't like about the extendable handle is that the casing for it is inside the case meaning the bottom of the suitcase is not completely flat and this is quite annoying if on my travels I have picked up a nice souvenir that needs lying flat in a case to not bend it. However, there is flat space inbetween this casing so you could put flat things in there if need be.
The suitcase has a combination lock built into it which I really like. When you zip round the zips to close the bag, at the top of the case there is a little number combination slot where the zip tags go into and lock into place. Here you then set the combination and it only opens once you press a little release button to get the zip tags out. I think this is much better than having a padlock on a suitcase and it works well and protects my belongings inside.
There are two zipped pockets on the front of this suitcase which makes it handy to store your boarding pass or a magazine in.
All in all a really handy case to travel with.
