Advantages: You don't have to carry your luggage!

Disadvantages: n/a

My over night samsonite trolley cost me about 80 pounds, I bought it in the duty free/travel value or whatever they're calling it these days. In normal shops it costs about 90 pounds but I would still say it's worth every penny. It's cabin luggage size, although don't take this as a guarantee you will always be allowed to carry it on especially if you are in economy class. I choose a semi-hard trolley, it's not solid plastic or metal but it's not soft canvas either. It's actually a kind of firm rubber covered in canvas. I find this really good as with canvas often things get damaged, with solid plastic or metal it can be difficult to fasten the trolley closed unless you an expert packer.

It has made travelling so much easier, no more running through airports with heavy bags slipping off your shoulders, weighing you down and leaving you hot and flustered. This trolley is great, it handles very well, it has decent sized wheels which are very good for negotiating curbs, although the wheels do only do one direction which can make it difficult when trying to steer through crowds or around duty free shops. It has rubber flaps covering the zip so it doesn't get damamged no matter how much luggage handlers thow it around. It has elestic straps inside to hold down your clothes and a seperator which allows you to put shoes in the lid of the trolley and stops them touching you clothes. The seperator also doubles as a pocket which is useful for under wear or toiletries. There is also an outer pocket which is just right for easy access to an umbrella or newspaper. Finally there is also an extra strap to allow you to fasten another bag ie vanity bag or laptop to the trolley.

I do have one problem with my trolley, if I've had to check my luggage through I have to check I have the right trolley when I retrieve it. Several times there has been other identical trolleys on the same flight as mine, I've now tied som
e coloured thread around the handle to make it easier to tell which is mine but I think Samsonite could do with expanding their colour range.
