... bag, really pays for itself on it's first trip. Onto the case itself and obviously the main feature is that it's so light! Its shape and structure is held by a rigid frame but the whole of the body of the suitcase is made from a tough fabric. There is almost a padded feel to the fabric, but it holds its shape no problem when you start to fill it. The one I own has two pockets similar to the one in the dooyoo pic, but the one on the pic seems to have a slightly deeper pocket at the bottom whereas the one on mine is ...more

As I don't travel light it's always a worry for me that I have packed too much into my suitcase. I know that fines for excess baggage can actually be what I'd call EXCESSIVE! I understand that some airlines are especially strict on this and you can be hit with fines on the return journey. Because of this and the fact that liquids and gels cannot be taken, for security reasons, in hand luggage it is easy to find oneself over weight, well it is for me in any case, and, although I have invested in digital scales, when I first heard of these extra light cases I was interested. My sister-in-law had bought an extra light case and was pleased with it. However, she ...  Read the complete review

Over the last few years I have travelled quite a lot, especially while living abroad and flying to London every few weeks for courses and job interviews when I was applying for my training contract. I seem to get through loads of suitcases as I often find that they don't last too well when they are being used a lot and subjected to some slightly rougher treatment, e.g. rather than just taking them from the boot of the car and checking them in at the airport I do often have to go on the tube with them, take them up stairs in stations with no lifts, wheel them for fairly short distances on the street etc. This particular suitcase is one my mum bought when we ...  Read the complete review

Sub Zero G World's Lightest Luggage Suitcase: Lightweight case packs a punch (595 words)

I invested in one of these "world's lightest" when they had them on offer in Matalan. The one I chose to purchase was the small version whose stated dimensions are H55 xW40xD20cm. Looking around the internet, there seems to be a few different branded versions of the case, which creep up to 21cm deep, which in my case (oops sorry for the pun) was the critical factor here - all my other luggage exceeded the 20cm depth stated by Ryanair. I can still see the 20cm version is listed on Amazon, and I can confirm that the one I got from Matalan does fit in the Ryanair guage without the need to sit on it! On my latest booking, to check a case into the hold on ...  Read the complete review

Whenever I go on holidays, I always find it hard to keep within the given weight limit because I like to plan for every eventuality. When flying with budget airlines, I am frequently given the task of doing so within a specific weight limit. This is hard enough for me, but harder still when the weight of my empty suitcase takes away a quarter of this limit before I've even packed. For this reason, I decided to purchase the Sub Zero G World's Lightest Luggage Trolley Case. What makes this suitcase special? I've got the medium sized one and the most special feature of this suitcase is that it only weighs 2.19kg. This means that your weight allowance won't ...  Read the complete review

Whenever I go into Matalan, the holiday section is bombarded with these suitcases in a variety of different colours and sizes to suit the needs of practically anybody! It claims to be the lightest suitcase in the world and I think this claim does hold some ground. The suitcase really is very light; this is vital for travelling by aeroplane where even the slightest weight excess can cost you a lot of money. By minimising on the weight of the bag, you can pack much more for your trip and be better prepared at your destination. Another advantage of the low weight is that it makes it easier to move around. Not only it is easier to move around an airport or ...  Read the complete review
