Waterproof sun protection that lasts 8 hours

I've always found that many of the so called swim proof water resistant sun creams are pretty much
a waste of time if you read the instructions on most of them they have to be reapplied after swimming
or being in the water. This means they are okay if you only go in the water a couple of times but for anyone who does water based sports or kids who are in and out of the water all day on holiday
having to reapply sun cream every half hour is a pain and there's a high chance you'll end up burnt
if you stay in the water too long.

Aloe Gator is one of several brands that are now providing waterproof sun protection products and I
purchased the Aloe Gator Ultra Waterproof Gel online for a recent holiday in Spain. The gel has
a 40+ sun protection factor and claims to give 8 hours protection no matter how much you are in
the water or how much you sweat making it ideal for using for water sports.

The gel rubs into your skin easily and because it's clear it doesn't leave you looking like you've been whitewashed until it's absorbed. During our weeks holiday I used this for surfing and also ended up
using it for the kids on days at the beach or water park. Although we generally reapplied it once later
in the day to be on the safe side I'm pleased to say nobody got burnt and the kids were happy not to
get grabbed and smothered with sun cream every time they left the water. Both myself and my young
nephew have sensitive skin but neither of us experienced any problems using the gel and my skin
felt soft and moisturised after using this all week.

Overall I would happily recommend this it's ideal for water sports and perfect for keeping kids
protected when they are in and out of the pool or sea all day on holiday. The gel comes in a squeezy
tube which contains 118ml or 4oz of gel which costs £10-£12 depending on where you shop. Although
this may seem slightly expensive the fact that you don't have to keep reapplying it all day means you
use a lot less than you would with most sun products.

I haven't seen this in many shops but it's available from www.purpleturtle.co.uk, Amazon and also
from online surf shops such as magicseaweed.com.
