I feel that this is the best low priced wear off fake tan out of the 12 i currently own! The main advantage of DuoTan i that it really does last for 5ish days, also the colour is not too orange and it's cheap. DuoTan is the best fake tan in the Ambre Solaire range, the Moisturising Bronzer and Instant Shimmer Bronzer look very dodgy and fake in comparison. Achieving a natural looking tan with DuoTan is not easy, the tanning milk is white and turns transparent on skin contact, so alot of educated guess work must be used! With lotsa practice and losta regular exfoliation the process does eventually become quicker and easier. Another negative feature of DuoTan is the smell, it is without a doubt, the smelliest fake tan i have ever used. My boyfriend thinks it smells salty and sandy, like the seaside, but doesn't find it at all unpleasent. The smell does gradually fade away with the assistance of a shower. I do like this tanner alot but still prefer to use a powder bronzer on the tricky areas,(face, hands+feet), to get that desired natural looking, sunkissed glow.

I must admit I have only used the product once but I was so impressed with it alround. It was out of this world and the smell was lovely it was like apricots very light and fresh not like the others they smell like old sweaty socks. And my biggest surprise was it dried in only an hour so i didn't have to put it on before i went to bed it didn't look fake either the colour from my sun bed was not that good.I was half expecting it to rub off like the last on i had but it stuck fast and lasted a week and a half before having to reapply. I only had to reapply if once to get the colour back that i liked. It’s that good that I’ve let my mum have my sun bed.

I have been through a lot of fake tan products, but this is definitely the creme de le creme of fake tan. Any time of the year you can look naturally tanned whenever you want. After application, a tan develops after just one hour, it doesn't damage clothes or fabric, and best of all, does not streak. It looks even and natural, with no orange in sight. It smells like you are on holiday, and is perfect for that too. If you're hitting the beach for the first time of the summer, this gives a kickstart tan, so you don't look like a super-white Brit on foreign beaches, and it also acts as an excellent sun protection cream with a moderate SPF for further tanning from the real thing. It is a godsend for the fair skinned, and if you want to deepen the tan without the sun, just apply more every few days or so. Whether you need a tan an hour before you go out, or a headstart for the beach, it's a fairly priced product that does what it says on the label. So go on, beat those British winter blues and become tanned in an instant!

            Advantages

We usually go abroad for our holidays, but haven`t for a couple of years. When we do go, I just cannot get a sun tan, I am one of those people with a very fair skin who usually burns easily. However despite well protecting myself with a factor 20 then 15 then down to 8 it does not work, everyone is always a lovely dark tan colour except me. Someone suggested using a fake tan, I thought urgh! all that mess and streaky legs how disgusting, no thanks. They told me that they always used it, and I was gob smacked, she always goes lovely and brown I never would have guessed it was a fake tan. I wanted some right away,I`m an impatient thing at times. Off I go in search of Ambre Solaire Duo Tan/ self tanning milk. My local chemist had a sale on so I thought I`d have a look, and low and behold right there in fromt of me at half the price, just what I wanted. It cost me £3 and it also has a built in sun factor to protect you from the sun. I followed the instructions you put it on, waited for 3 hours and the tan would take effect. It was not easy, you had to apply it and wait until it dried. It was not messy and did not have a foul smell, it rubbed in easy but it was just having to stand for 15 minutes to ensure you didn`t get it on anything and wait until it has dried. The results were good and I did have a tan that looked natural with no streaks and I looked a lot better. I`m really pleased with this product and bought more of it, I only use it if I feel the need to or if we go on holiday. One thing you should remember, wash your hands after applying it or you will end up with a brown hand and that looks awful. The tan lasts about 4-5 weeks.
