=Avon Bronze Anti Shine Face Cream SPF20/Sun Screen Stick SPF30=
My Little 2 in 1 miracle lotion, I won't travel abroad without this in my suitcase.
This generally retails at &, but it is regularly on offer such as 3 for £10 or buy 2 get 3rd free. As soon as there is an offer on I stock up on a good selection.
=What do I get?=
You get a small little tube and as its under 100ml it is small enough to go in your hand luggage, (bottles / tubes 100ml or less in clear sealed container , maximum of 1 litre in total - at present regulations).
The main bulk is the tube of SPF20m this is 30ml, the tube is about 5in in height, at the end of this tube you have a lip balm which is a factor 30.
The cream is a Factor 20, it is a thicker formula than some of the other lotions in the Avon range, it's a cream coloured, I find it rubs in perfectly on my face, and I also use it on the top bits of my shoulder, as when I have got sunburnt this is the only one that I find I can use. The lip balm is not the traditional shape of a lip it is like a little ball that is a white colour and is of a hard texture.
As well as being for lips, I find this is a brilliant little balm for the tops of my ears which sound daft never really get exposed to the sun and are fragile. The only little niggle about the lip balm is that it has a waxy feel to it, when you first put it on your lips it just stays there as though it doesn't really know what it wants to do, but after a couple of minutes it does melt into the lips.
This balm is ideal as well for after sun, as I have used it in cracked lips which have bled from sun burn and then you lick your lips even though you don't realise you do, but this really does the trick
=My Overall Verdict=
In my opinion I think that this is one of the best sun tan lotions in the range, and should be a stable in everyone store cupboard.
Avon Bronze Anti-Shine Face Cream SPF20/Sun Screen Stick SPF30 is a dual action sunscreen from Avon cosmetics and one of my "must-haves" for my summer holidays. The price is usually around £7 but is always in the offer with Avon's other sun creams so you can get 3 for £10 or 3 for £15 depending on their best offers of the summer. It is worth waiting for a good deal as you can pick up sun lotion really reasonably.
==What you get & My Opinion==
You get a tube of SPF20 sun lotion especially for the face which tends to mean it is less greasy than other sun lotions and it should be a bit kinder to your skin. I personally don't find it is any less greasy than sun lotion and my face still beams or "glows" nicely in the sun. The tube is 30ml which is ideal for handbags and is not very heavy at all in bags to take out for the day. I really like the fact you only get 30ml purely for this reason, who wants to be carting huge bottles of sun lotion around when you are walking and sight seeing in the heat? I have also used the lotion on the top of my shoulders to top up the SPF when I'm away from the hotel etc. and it has worked fine.
At the end of the tube is a fab lip balm which has a white tint to it and you do tend to look like a cricket player when you put it on. This is SPF 30 and really helps to stop your lips from cracking and for me, it helps to stop cold sores which I get if my lips gets burned by the sun. If you are going for a glamorous "summer look" as per all the beauty magazines, the lip balm might scupper your plans for sultry, pouty lips, but as most people don't look like models in magazines and prefer something that gets the job done, you can probably live with the slightly whiteish tinge to the lips. The balm feels quite waxy and does melt slightly in the heat so if you aren't careful you can smear a serious amount onto your lips which just wastes it.
I can't recommend this product highly enough, it is light weight and an ideal companion to take out in your bag on days out. I do use other large bottles of SPF when I am at the hotel but for going out and about, this is really great. The lip balm duo makes it a perfect choice for me.
I always try to use a facial sun lotion during summer as my nose and the skin on either side a bit below my eyes seems to catch the sun quite quickly and goes pink. I find that this is a great product as it has everything covered face-wise.
The end of the stick with the see through screw on cap is a very thick balm, much thicker than lip balm, almost like candle wax and you have to apply a little pressure to feel as though any is actually rubbing off on you. I use it to coat my lips before putting on other lip products in the summer so that they have a thick layer of protection. Despite the thickness of it, it does not leave lips looking all horrible and pale like I thought it might. The instructions on the back of the product also say that the stick end can be used for nose and ears. I don't do this though as I use the cream on my nose and find that my ears are covered by my hair. Besides this, I think it's a little unhygienic to use something on your lips if you have used it elsewhere.
The face cream is the real reason that I bought this product as I noticed that it is anti-shine and have found that other sun lotions for the face have not soaked in well or have looked greasy. It has a light texture and absorbs into the skin well, so much so that I have started using this on a daily basis rather than a moisturiser. It also has a pleasant smell and forms a good base for make-up.
Overall it is a fantastic product; I only wish that Avon would make a moisturiser that is anti-shine too!
Finally, my search is over!!
For so long I have been desperate for a sun lotion that I can use on my face that isn't jam-packed with oil and won't make my face look even greasier!
This product is really nifty, as it is two-in-one. It contains an anti-shine face cream with UVA protection and SPF 20, and it also contains a sun screen stick with UVA protection and SPF 30. The idea is you put the face cream on allover and then use the sun stick on your nose and ears (the bits most likely to burn). It can also be used as a lip balm, to protect your lips from sun damage.
The cream smells gorgeous, the same as all Avon sun creams. The cream feels nice and light, unlike the ones I've had to use in the past, and does actually stop shine!
The tube is perfect for popping into your handbag or beachbag, and I love the two-in-one aspect. I was so pleased that this product actually delivered on its promise as it seemed too good to be true.
Thank you Avon for making the product I've been searching for for years!
