Advantages: Low price

Disadvantages: Soothing effect doesnt last long.

On our recent trip to Turkey, using after sun for us was not a choice.
We took two different after suns with us, including this one and a more expensive garnier after sun cream.
I originally purchased Avons after sun because of the price more than anything as it was on offer for about £1.80 which is a bargain when comparing this to the apparent originally price of £6.

£1.80 for this was about what it is worth in my opinion and I wouldn't have been very happy if I paid £6 for it.
The bottle comes in a 150 ml size which isn't too bad considering it is a spray and so you'd expect it to last longer than a cream for example.
The bottle comes with a transparent lid, which for us grew legs and ran away within the first few days of us using it. Although we still didn't have any problems with it leaking or causing us any mess when not in use.

...Use...

The lotion is easily sprayed onto skin and comes out very watery.
When applied to our back we found the liquid instantly runs down and has to be moisturised in quickly to avoid any accidents, however even when in contact with clothing we didn't find this liquid left any stains or marks.
I found the liquid sinks into my skin rather quickly, even when I had applied too much it was easy to spread around and use.
As the liquid is quite watery, it goes far. By this I mean you don't need much for it to cover a large enough area. However as it does sink in relatively quickly, I did find I felt I needed to apply more.
The bottle does instruct to 'spray liberally'.

Is it soothing?

Whilst in Turkey, we got sunburn whilst out on a cruise on our third day, and we found using this spray was cooling and soothing but the effects didn't last very long.
As the spray does come out as a mist, we liked applying this giving a distance between your skin and the bottle as the liquid drops very cool onto your skin making it feel fresh and cooled for a short amount of time.
Once rubbed in, we did find our skin began to feel warm and stiff again very soon, although I did feel the hydrating side to this lotion lasted longer than the initial 'cooling' effects.

The spray holds a light scent to it which we didn't really like at all but it was 'put up-able'. The lotion to me smelt a little like mould and my boyfriend described it of smelling like the 'cotton fresh' cheap freshener you can buy.

Did it last?

By the end of our 11 night holiday, we did have about 20% of the bottle left however we did use it very generously when applying mainly due to the low price but also as we were running low on our preferred 'garnier' after sun we also had. When used as needed, the bottle probably would last a decent length of time however your skin wouldn't be relieved much as we did feel we needed to keep reapplying.

Overall

I would recommend this lotion for anybody going to a 'warm' or 'hot' place who aren't planning on sunbathing much or putting their skin in the sun much, as it does have slight soothing effects and would be suitable for skin with the little support to keep hydrated.
However I don't think its suitable for skin needing extra care and TLC as we didn't think the effects lasted long enough and we had much more benefit from the more expensive Garnier brand.
In future, I will stick to the better well known more expensive brands as you really do get what you pay for.

Thankyou for reading, I also post on Ciao.

Summary: Cheap, but you get what you pay for.
