I've been stocking up recently on holiday lotions and potions, and one of the items that I've bought is the Biotherm Oligo Thermal Milk After Sun. I have to stock up gradually as my husband would have a hissy fit if he realised how much I actually spent on things like this!!
I've used the Biotherm Oligo Thermal After Sun Milk before, and I love it. It's £18.00, and it's a 200ml bottle. The bottle states that you can use it on both your face and your body, but I'm not really a fan of using body products on my face as well, I will normally buy the seperate face product as well. Which I did actually do at the same time - the Biotherm Oligo Thermal Face Cream, ooops there we go again spending a fortune on 'girly crap' as my husband calls it!
As I said I've used this After Sun before, and I will certainly continue to do so. My only slight gripe with the product though is in the bottle design; it does have a flip top lid which makes it easy to flip up and use with one hand which is handy for when you're mid application with greasy hands, however the lid on the flip top is rounded and not flat so that when you are coming to the end of the bottle you can't stand it upside down to allow the last remnants to settle at the cap end so that you can use it all. This only really bothers me with expensive products when I like to use every last bit of them so that I can feel like I'm getting my moneys worth!
I don't actually use this as an After Sun, I don't put myself in the postion where I've had too much sun and burn. I normally use this as an body lotion whilst on holiday, or during the summer months. It is handy to have an after sun with us on holiday though as occasionally my husband will burn, he isn't quite as careful as I am in the sun.
The After Sun has a gorgeous summery fragrance, it smells like Palmers cocoa butter but with a very definate fruity side to it as well. The scent lingers on your skin for absolutely ages after you've applied it. Although the fragrance does linger on your skin it is quite a subtle scent, and is not too overpowering so as to clash with your perfume. I personally don't think that it's a winter fragrance, unless of course it happens to be for a winter sun holiday.
The After Sun is a white milk type lotion, I guess that the fact that it's called 'after sun milk' gives this away though hey! And as such the milk spreads quite a long way, I find that I need much less of this after sun milk to spread much further than a thicker lotion or cream would do. Considering that it's a milk as opposed to a thicker lotion or cream it is really intensely moisturising, something that you would normally associate with a thicker product.
The After Sun is really moisturising, soothing and refreshing. It rubs into my skin really easily and it completely dissapears and sinks into my skin leaving no greasy residue or stickyness behind at all, it just seems to melt into my skin. You can apply lots of this after sun and it still seems to sink in completely. This leaves my skin feeling lovely and soft and hydrated. It feels especially nice and cooling on hot summer skin if I've kept in the fridge beforehand. Even if I haven't kept it in the fridge it still has a cooling effect on my skin, although admittedly not as much.
I would definitely recommend this After Sun, Biotherm products are expensive though so shop around; they very often are on 3 for 2 in Boots I find, and also a lot of duty free shops sell Biotherm products.
