I really like Biotherm products and regularly but myself their moisturisers as I find that they are one of the best out there that are specially designed for men's skin. I have tried some of the power bronze products before and they are basically just moisturisers with a little fake tan in them which help give a healthy glow and cover up redness and spots. I decided to try the power bronze instant dark circle corrector as I have been noticing lately that I am starting to get dark rings around my eyes which sleep and drinking water etc. are doing nothing for.
These dark circles aren't massively bad or anything but they do make me a little paranoid and I do look some days that I am burning the candle at both ends even when I'm not.
The instant dark circle corrector costs £12.50 so it is a little cheaper than most Biotherm products but then again this is probably because you only get a tiny little tube containing 10ml of the corrector.
The corrector is coloured and available in light or dark. I chose the darker version because my skin tone isn't all that pale but I think this was a mistake and I probably should have gone for the light version.
The cream is tinted and as soon as I squeezed a little bit on to my finger I was worried that it was going to be too dark for me.
You are supposed to just add a tiny amount to your finger and pat it around the underside of your eye.
When I put it on and patted it I immediately noticed that I could see the tint and it looked like I was putting foundation under my eye. Being a man I didn't really want to look as though I was wearing make-up but no matter how much or little I put on it didn't seem to absorb into my skin and blend with my skin tone.
I found that it was really noticeable even after blending and although it covered my dark circles I was left with what looked like streaky fake tan under my eyes. I have to say that I really wasn't impressed with it and it isn't something that I would buy again.
As an eye cream it felt nice enough on my skin but it did feel a little heavy and not lightweight like most eye creams I have tried do.
Perhaps as I said I should have tried the lighter one but I didn't and based on the experience of using the darker one I wouldn't want to waste any more money buying the lighter one to try it and on that basis it isn't something that I could recommend.
