      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      A winter blues buster!

When it comes to bronzers I always say the same things. 'They don't suit me' and 'I'm never buying them again!'. However I can't stop myself buying them for some reason and I have bottles and jars and powders disregarded everywhere in my bedroom! I have loads of them I've used once, and tossed aside in disgust.

I am pale. I mean REALLY pale. I get asked if I'm anemic alot and I am. I also have low potassium and a Vitamin B deficiency for which I take supplements for. I don't tan. I mean I don't tan at all and with black hair I can look really gaunt. I had a spray tan done a couple of months ago and I looked like a melting bar of of chocolate. I do fake tan myself and have tried so many and even the fairest ones look like I've faked it. Even buying foundation and pressed/loose powder is a bind for me cos even translucent can leave a 'tide mark' on my chin. I'm as white as white as can be and I can tolerate it as I always have but of course I'd like some colour and to appear more healthy and stop people making unkind remarks at me!

I saw this in Boots. Usually priced at £12.00 a pot and reduced to £6.00. I had a £5.00 voucher off No7 products (and Ruby & Millie) and was able to get this for a pound (you can't do that now as they have stopped you buying reduced lines in the past week). What was more gutting was that the following day in a different Boots this was reduced in that store to £1.50! I have been in Boots today where I got this from and it's still on offer for £6.00 so it is about and it isn't a discontinued line and will be going back up to it's full price soon.

      The Packaging...

Square box which is bronze in colour on the front of it and on the top and the rest of the box is in white. On the front the usual gold No7 Emblem is on there and then in brown writing I'm told it is 'instant Sunshine Sunkissed Mousse Bronzer' which is 'Wash Off Sunkissed Glow In An Instant' and that it is Hypo-Allergenic. On one side of the box I'm told it is created with care and that 'We've created this Hypo-Allergenic product using only ingredients we know and trust'. On the other side of the box ingredients are listed and contact details are given along with size being stated (30g) and the recycle symbol being shown. On the back of the box I'm told all about the product and on the bottom of the box there is a black bar-code on there.

The jar is oval and see-through glass and you can see the bronzer through it and it has a white plastic slightly shimmery lid that simply twists on/off and on that in gold writing again the No7 emblem can be seen. On the bottom of the pot there is a silver sticky label on there and again I'm told it's No7 Sunkissed Mousse Bronzer and to 'Dot a little where you normally catch the sun', contact details for Boots are once again given and again size and the recycle symbol are displayed. The box and the glass jar are very nice. Plenty of information can be seen and it looks classy so would make a nice gift (particularly at this price!).

A Bit About The Product According To The Back Of The Box....

      Shimmer And Glow....

Give your skin a powder soft, gently shimmering finish with this dreamy soft mousse bronzer. It glides on effortlessly for a barely there feel, and keeps skin shine free all day long whilst also giving it a natural looking bronzed finish.

Light diffusing particles soften the appearance of fine lines for a luminous look, indoors or out. Fragrance free, this clever bronzer not only provides beautiful coverage but also knows where the skin needs to hold onto moisture, and where it needs to work holding back shine.

      Summer Starts Here....

Twist off the lid and dot a little mousse where you would naturally catch the sun, usually your cheeks, nose and chin. Blend smoothly and evenly with your fingers or a sponge, working downwards and outwards from the centre of your face.

      Using It....

This can only be purchased in one colour. The colour is rather dark and brown when you look at it in the jar. It's set fir when you first open it and smooth with a slight shine to it. I was impressed with the amount in my jar as well. I was impressed it wasn't just a huge jar with not alot of product in. This seemed value for money to me and I knew it would last me ages.

When you rub your fingers over the mousse the bronzer comes off easily and then you can really see it is mousse consistency. It is light with little bubbles within it and like it's been whipped. It is a light mousse and feels so light on the skin.

It applies on very smoothly and easily and like silk. To get any colour on you need a very small amount and of course you can work on building up the colour as required and no matter the amount it never feels heavy.

I personally use this as a blusher rather than an all over face colour. Being so pale I do have to be careful the amount I use. However if I use a small amount I do get a slightly shimmery and luminous look with a touch of sunkissed colour. It's easy to blend and obtain a soft glow and it is great at holding the colour for hours on the skin once applied. I do have a few very fine lines on my face and this doesn't sit in them and highlight them at all. In fact it softens my skin and fills and disguises the lines and generally boosts my radiance whilst gently hydrating my skin for as long as the colour is visible.

You can of course use this wherever you want to! You can use it on collarbones and shoulders etc and again it's simple enough to apply and on larger areas I find a cosmetic sponge is great to smooth a little on and blend it well. Yes it does give a sunkissed glow providing you watch what your doing and blend well and apply in a good light!

      Overall....

Even I find this simple to use! I like the way I have control of the amount of colour I apply and the look I want to achieve. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a bronzer that doesn't just give a dark colour but gives a really healthy, hydrating, luminous look. I love this mousse as it's light to use and easy to correct mistakes (if you make any!).

To remove it is simple as well it only takes your usual make up removing routine to get rid of it so it has no special requirements of it's own but it does need removing as the colour does stay put till you do remove it! It's none smudging and none transferable and stays looking bright and fresh for hours upon hours. Economical this really is because you only need a really small amount and you don't need to reapply it! Great stuff!

      Only available in Boots.
