“ Brand: Boots / Type: Tanning / Suitable for: Face / What it does: Tans, „
I, like many other consumers are aware of the risks of skin cancer caused by the sun, and in the past have tried the tan towels. I wouldn't recommend these to anyone. When you apply the towel to the face, you cannot see where it has been and how much force you have applied to that area, therefore you have no inclination whether one area of the face is darker than another. I decided that I would try the No 7's wear off tan, it developed over a period of 2 hrs and it was not streaky and didn't have that "orange" effect, which we all dread! I was very pleased with the outcome and the easy nature of applying this product. With it's tinted formula, you can see where you have and have not applied it, which is helpful. Not a large amount was needed for a subtle effect and I personally found that a light sweep of the bronzing balls powder gave a finished look. I would highly recommend this safe way of acheiving a gorgeous sun-kissed look.
I would pay twice as much as it costs. Value for money and you only need a very small amount for the whole of your face. There is no need to moiturise and best of all it goes on in the colour it will stay so there is no risk of those invisable streaks appearing in the morning! This product alos smells nice - a far cry a way from the stinky amonia stench of the jaffa creams of yesterday. Everyone looks healthier with a tan, especially when its as good as this.
I first started using this product a year ago and really loved the way it was so easily applied and how well it actually looked when it was on. Unlike other fake tans this tan actually was TAN! not an orange or sickly yellow like most others. I love the way it is tinted and you can see exactually what you are doing , i also found that it really is nice on your face as well, I use it more now than foundation, as it gives you the sunkissed look which to me is more natural looking. The only disadvantage i have with this tan is when it comes near the end of the bottle it does tend to start to loose its texture and can go on very streaky. Other than that i would really reccomend it to anyone who likes the natural look and wary of trying fake tans (as i was).
I decided to try this as I use a tan for the rest of my body but was always a bit dubious about using it on my face in case I ended up looking streaky, but this product is really good. It actually tints your skin a nice warm brown colour as you put it on, so you know exactly where your putting it and where to blend further to avoid streaks, unlike the other tans that are a white lotion. It doesn't smell to bad either, hardly noticable in fact, and although it looks a bit greasy at first, it soon sinks into your skin and leaves you looking instantly brown, but it does actually take 1-2 hours for the tan to develop underneath, then you can remove the tint if you wish, or apply more for a darker shade. The only problem I had was that I needed to re-apply several times before I got the shade I wanted, but being olive skinned anyway i have to do that with most fake tans. This would be excellent for fair skinned people. Give it a go, you won't be disapointed!!! Oh and it's very cheap, but I cant remember exactly how much, but no more that £4 anyway so cheaper than a foundation.
