      Disadvantages

      A budget fake tan

Expose fake tan is a gradual false tanning agent that is relatively new onto the market. I bought this fake tan to try because it was so cheap and I'd heard about it amongst some friends so I decided to give it a try.

This tanner is for the body but can also be used on the face which is a big advantage. It comes in a shiny orange canister with white writing and a mousse-type spout. It comes with an air tight lid too which stops spillages.

The substance of the take tan is very much like mousse, it is very thick and white but it is very easy to spread using a fake tan mitt. I was very excited to try this fake tan because it was so cheap and had a positive reputation so I exfoliated and moisturised before pumping some mousse onto my legs and vigorously spreading it to avoid streaks. One disadvantage I encountered when using the fake tan is that it goes on entirely clear so it is almost impossible to see if you have left any parts uncovered with the mousse!

So, how did it turn out? Well, I left it overnight and in the morning I was a really dark orange-brown colour. I didn't so much mind the colour as it did look quite natural but it was patchy in some places, this could have probably been avoided if I'd have spent more time rubbing it in, however, I did spend a good few minutes applying it. I'm not sure if this deep colour is for everyone, especially fake tan novices who may be taken a-back by the colour difference.

The smell of this fake tan is very distinctive it smells like biscuits-but not very nice biscuits! One of the disadvantages is that you can smell the fake tan for as long as you have it on not just when your applying it which really gives it away that your wearing fake tan.

I bought this fake tan for £1.50 from Bodycare which is a real bargain for fake tan especially as other fake tan products retail for in excess of £20! For £1.50 I guess you get what you pay for, a reasonable fake tan that just takes a while to apply but I have to say it dried quick quickly so it's ideal to apply it just before bed time.

Overall, I would recommend this to a friend but not before warning them about the application process; it really needs to be rubbed in and not a patch of skin can be missed owing to the colour of the fake tan being so deep in colour.
