So, I am one of these girls who is blessed with very pale white skin and dark hair. Now that's great, most of the time, but there are times when I would love a nice bronze glow - especially when going on a night out, or hitting the beach on holiday. Therefore, I decided to give Beyond Bronze a try. I certainly was not disappointed. ~ ~ ~ In the Box ~ ~ ~ The box contained everything you could need for an nice tan. My best friend is a beauty therapist and informed me that before tanning it was best to exfoliate and moisturise dry areas. In the box there was 170ml Self Tanning Lotion, 170ml Green Tea and Ginger Oil free moisturizer and170ml Gin-U-Wine Body Polish. Therefore, the contents of this kit satisfied all the areas that my friend informed me needed to be addressed! ~ ~ ~ Application ~ ~ ~ So, first on the to do list is to exfoliate. I jumped in the shower and got to exfoliating ith the Gin-U-Wine Body Polish. It smelt lovely, kind of fruity, and had just the right size of exfoliating beads in it. I sometimes find some scrubs to be too harsh but this was just perfect and took away all my dead skin without any redness or stinging. Secondly, after showering off all the Body Polish, I got to using the Green Tea and Ginger Oil free moisturizer. I was told that its important that its oil free as any oil can affect the quality of your tan. This moisturiser smelt really refreshing and soaked into my skin easily. I just applied it to drier areas such as my elbows, hands and knees. Next came the scary part, actually putting on the tanning product. I had also purchased a tanning mitt to try and save my hands from going a tell tale orange. The tan is in a pump action bottle, which makes it nice and easy to get out. When you first see the product you may be alarmed at how dark and brown it looks - don't worry as this is a "colour guide". I found this incredibly useful, as it means that when you put the lotion on you can see exactly where you are putting it, and go over any areas that are streaky or you have missed. The lotion itself is a lovely consistency, not too thick but thick enough to ensure no streaks and good coverage. The only downside is the smell, kind of similar to the smell of biscuits! I am lead to believe that most fake tans have this smell however. After application I looked in the mirror and it was safe to say that my pale skin was a thing of the past. The product goes on really really dark, but remember this is just the colour guide. ~ ~ ~ Development ~ ~ ~ I followed the instructions and kept the tan on for 8 hours to let it develop while I slept soundly in my bed. A small amount of the tan can transfer onto clothes and bed sheets but it washes out really easily. In the morning I got up and showered off the colour guide, I was a bit nervous to see the results. ~ ~ ~ Results ~ ~ ~ The results were fantastic; my pale skin was now a lovely bronze colour and not a hint of orange in sight! There were no streaks and I applied the lovely moisturiser after showering which seemed to make me glow. I was thrilled with the results. ~ ~ ~ Price ~ ~ ~ I payed £24.99 for this kit which I think is great value for money - considering a salon tan costs around £20 a time and I think you would get at least 3 applications out of the bottle. ~ ~ ~ Overall ~ ~ ~ This is a great kit and has everything you need to achieve a natural flawless looking tan. I would recommend this to anyone with pale skin like mine! The only drawback is the smell! Thank you for reading x Can also be read on Ciao x
I love fake bake tanning products i bought this kit and you get every thing you need for an all over tan, it does not go on streaky or orange i love the way it goes on evenly and it is also a dark colour so you can see exactly where you are putting it however i would reccommend using latex gloves which is what i do or a self tanning mit so you don't get it all over the palms of your hands, it's great if you are going somewhere and need a quick fix as the colour goes on how you see it instantly and theres no waiting for hours for the colour to come up the best thing about this kit is you get the moisturiser in it aswell so if you feel it's fading rub a bit of this in and it fades evenly also when showering or bathing it does not come off in patches like most fake tans definatly the best self tan ive used, it is worth every penny as you would probably spend a few pound each time on self tans that do not work you may aswell buy fake bake and you have everything you need in one box.
I want to write about my experience with lipo bronze by fake bake, Basically mainly my problem with it was that I was hyped up for this to be a pleasant tanning product and after use I thought this was shockingly uneffective! I have started experimenting with developing self tan products after religiously depending on this loreal foundation I fluke came across that was a great instant fake tan solution! it was unfortunately discontinued prob as it was such a unique shade that no one liked when it was on their face well actually they replace the range and I wasnt holding my breathe as I asked them why no one notified clients they didnt care which I presume is the standard attitude to wealthy established companies.I am still grieving for it nothing Ive tried thats designed to fake a tan comes close infact the fake tan market is poor in general im not surprised people still use sunbeds etc there is no decent alternative however,I am ranting on! ! ha ;o)....., so ...FAKE BAKE LIPO BRONZE LOTION- Its not really my style to bang on about the application as Ive always found that surely no on would care if youre a genuine fake tan consumer ! I presumed I had done something wrong in my application or that it wasn't a developing self tanner at all but an instant one, because when bathing even mildly as it instructs which obviously is unavoidable, after appliying it hours beforehand, like 10 hours to be safe, it ALL washes off leaving you with a horrid jaundice-yellow hue! ! ! my skin is sallow and not white but pale not glowing when no sun exposure but dark when i get sun then fades fast so why should I damage skin..so I believe I can cover all perspectives however if you are redhaired or something it would be worse but my skin is pale so the color wouldnt be masked or anything is my point, so again anyway..- Ive heard such mixed reviews that I then researched it since , but cant believe they are genuine positive ones more like employees or something from my personal experience! it was much paler than the base shade suggests and gets you feeling positive till you wash and its not sunkissed its dull and yellow not like youd been in sun but like you were ill! more angry that its misleading I liked the base and as if I had worn this around my partner then bathed at night I would have been left mortified as had a lovely natural color when the base was on all day although the base does change after 2 hours and it does look like its fermenting and gets grubby and unclean dirty looking but continueous use made no difference as it intensified an odd yellow shade only!! since asking around I have found others agree about extreme and original fake bake solution so is it the lipo bronze worse only? I thought that having the thicker consistency of a lipo cream usually does it may be diluted and take longer I dont want to splash out on the other products they do having heard the exact same story as mine ,are their any products by fake bake that are more predictable and better result or am I the only mad person who didnt get it? dont mean to sound harsh but Im dissappointed used it for week solid and 20 quid down with nothing to show for it execpt an anatural odd pale tint on skin albeit not ORANGE.POOR :O(!
This is a self tanning kit made by Fake Bake. It comes in a grey box and through the front window you can see the three bottles which consist of: 170ml Self Tanning Lotion 170ml Green Tean and Ginger Oil free moisturizer 170ml Gin-U-Wine Body Polish. To use the kit you have to use the body polish to exfoliate the skin and it is recommended you do this every five days. You then use the moisturiser and allow it to dry before putting on the self tanning lotion. The box states that it should be done every 5-7 days but I have left it on for 10 days before it start showing signs of needing to be removed. It does recommend you build up the tan over a few days but I have applied it and left it on overnight and achieved a good enough colour without having to repeat the application. Whilst everything is provided in the kit the self tanning lotion seems to be the first bottle that runs out if you do apply it a few nights running. Ideally the kit could do with having smaller amounts of body polish and moisturiser and more self tanning lotion as exfoliating lotions and moisturisers can be picked up cheaply enough in the shops whereas the tanning lotion is more costly. Makes a nice present but if it is for everyday application then it could work out costly and you having bottles and bottles of body polish and moisturiser left over.
