Advantages: Doesnt Smell too bad
Disadvantages: Felt uncomfortable the whole night
I have been using false tan for years due to having a scare with sunbeds as I had a couple of moles removed a few months ago... and there is nothing more like that to put you off sunbeds for life I can tell you.
I was surfing through the false tans and saw fake bake extreme tanning gel and thought that I would give it a try since the tanning wipes that I normally use dont give as dark a colour that I expected to get with this product.
On putting it on.. it was easy to see where I had applied it due to its dark treacle colour... you have to work fast with it as it dries in rather quickly and to be honest really isnt that moisturising.. so any dry or patchy skin, will show up instantly. I was a bit worried after I looked at myself after applying it as it was really dark, almost black... which incurred a few sniggers from my fiance.
I will be honest and say that I was uncomfortable the whole night, and felt slimy and too warm... and was scared that sweating would ruin the result in the morning. When I got up in the morning and went in the bath, a lot of it came off, which I did expect, and left what was going to be my tan....
So what do I think of this product, its okay really, I would say that it is a lot of hassle for the end result... and I cant say how long it will last as I only put it on last night. It didnt stain the bedsheets thats about all I can say, as for the colour, dark tangerine to be honest. I was kind of expecting more of a dark dirty brown colour, and the end result is not that.. I hope that it calms down a bit, and isnt so dark orange.
I dont think that I will buy this product again, I am a bit disappointed in it really, I expected more from fake bake, I would say that they should bring out tanning wipes instead of the cream, mousse and gel.. much easier to apply and less mess.
If you want to try it folks, give it a go, but I would say, dont put too much on as otherwise you will end up with the same result as me... ORANGE!
Good luck.....
Oh and while I am here.. I wouldnt try st.tropez either as that is very similar to fake bake and you get very similar results.. except I would say that st.tropez smells worse!
Summary: Orange, messy, dissapointing, sticks to dry skin, not moisturising at all.
