I am really careful when it comes to being out in the sun and always ensure my children use high factor sunscreen. I usually buy a spray especially formulated for children with the downside being that these sprays can leave marks on clothing. On the other hand I like to use Ambre solaires clear protect spray for me as it doesn't leave any marks either on my skin or clothing. Ambre Solaire makes a range of sun protection products for all types of skin needs. The clear protect spray comes in several SPF levels and I opted for the highest available 30. It is designed for fair skin that is already tanned. My skin is quite fair and I am prone to burn if I am not careful. The spay comes in a white plastic bottle with a clear strip down each side to enable you to see at a glance how much of the product is left. The spray nozzle is protected from dirt with a pull off plastic cap. The information on the bottle claims that this spray will leave no white marks, something that really appeals to me! It contains nutriflavones and vitamin E, both of which help to keep skin moisturised. This spray is also very water resistant according to the bottle. I prefer to use a spray whenever possible as I find it makes reaching areas such as my back easier. The spray nozzle on this bottle works well and I had no problem getting it to spray even when the contents were getting low. It can also be sprayed at any angle . The spray itself is not actually clear but a pale orange colour. It is difficult to see once it has been applied and does appear clear. It has a pleasant enough scent although is not as noticeable as other Ambre Solaire products I have used. The spray is really light with no sticky or greasy feel. It is quickly and easily absorbed and as promised, doesn't leave any marks on my skin. I tend to reapply the spray every few hours and always after swimming. I have several t-shirts that still bear the stains of sunscreen use from previous summers. However true to its claims this spray has not left any white marks on my clothing. This is a huge plus for me. The most important element in using sunscreen is how well it protects you from the harmful effects of the sun. I took this spray to Australia and Singapore last year where the sun was very strong. I am please to say that it gave me excellent protection and I managed to avoid any sun burn. I have also been using it on the few hot and sunny days we have enjoyed this summer and it has protected me as promised. I did manage to turn a little too pink last week end but that was my fault for forgetting to reapply! This spray is widely available and is on a half price offer in Tesco at £7 for a 200ml bottle.
This is a great suntan lotion. I am very much concerned about making sure that myself and my grandchildren are well covered in the sun. It is so easy to burn without realising it so when it's a warm day I always make sure we have sun tan cream on. This is a really good one to have because it is a spray. I always tend to go for Garnier Ambre Solaire sun creams, I do sometimes use others if they are on offer but this is my preferred one as it has a high protection against UVA and UVB. Sometimes you think you're well protected but the star rating is low. This is not the case with this though. I tend to buy factor 30 or 50 as I like to make sure I have the best protection. It comes in a white bottle which has little ridges near the top which is good for gripping. It is comfortable to hold because of these ridges. The nozzle is an orangey yellow and you can see the liquid inside on the side. This is good so you can tell if it's beginning to run out. I spray this direct to skin just by pushing the nozzle down. It sprays in quite a narrow spray so it doesn't end up going all over the place, the further away you stand the less accurate it can be but if you stand close to the skin then it is more efficient than it ending up going all over other things too. It's easy to rub in, I think having a spray makes it easier to apply than a cream and my grandchildren find it more fun. It leaves a slightly greasy feeling on the skin and on hands but this passes and it doesn't leave any marks or anything. It has a slight smell but nothing too specific. I find that this works really well. I try to apply it every couple of hours to keep on top of it and to prevent burning. It is really effective and I think it's very good quality. This is a product which i try to always make sure I have plenty of in the house. 5 stars
I bought this suntan lotion for a holiday a few months back and can honestly say i had a very bad reaction to it. The lotion comes in a white bottle with a clear strip down the left side of the bottle so you can see how much of the lotion is left, i found this very handy as most suntan lotions do not allow you to see how much is left, making it very hard to tell how long it is going to last for. The bottle comes with a pump making it very handy to spray specific areas of your body, and a lid to stop stand etc, going onto the nozzle and causing clogs. I sprayed the lotion all over and found it dried very quickly so you have to be quick in rubbing it in. The lotion is clear and i am not to sure how i feel about that, i personally like to see where i have applied my lotion before i rub it in so i can make sure i have not left any sections, but i do like the fact it does not leave your skin with a white effect. I also liked the fact that it does not go sticky so the sand does not stick to you straight after application. The major problem i had was that i have very sensitive skin and once i had applied it a few hours after i came up in a large rash all over my body, which really was not very pleasant at all, it was very sore and very itchy, not something you want when you are on holiday. I was very upset as i liked everything else about the product and it did not react with anyone else in my family, but i am the only one with very sensitive skin. Overall i would recommend this product if you know you do not react to much, but if like me you have sensitive skin, i would stay away as i would not like you to experience the same things i did, it was not very nice. It is sold for £7.48 so a pretty good price if it works for you.
I have recently just got back from Tenerife with my Girl friend. This year we decided to buy our sun cream before we went, we spotted the garnier products on half price offer so decided to go for it. I also noticed that they were selling the clean protect one which looked and sounded good because it said it didnt leave any marks and it was invisible. I had never tried a clear sun cream before so this was very new to me. I am glad I chose this product as it has worked wonders for me. Price/Bottle: This product is usally around £10, I paid half that in the sale and I think its a fair price for a decent product. The clear products seem to be more expensive than the others, but I think they are more expesnive due to the novelty of not having to rub white cream all over your body. The bottle is white and we are told the Spf factor on the front. This was available in different levels, I went for 30 as I know that this factor offers good protection and also allows a tan. The bottle says how it is very water resistant and it is non greasy. Overall the style is simple and it has a spray top to apply the sun cream directly to your skin. On the back it tells you that you must spray this into your hands before applying the cream to your face and sensitive areas. Did it work?: It worked very well for me, I applied this around 3 times a day all over and I suffered no sun burns. I was in direct contact with the sun almost everyday from 9-6 and my body suffered very little from it. I only got burned when I forgot to apply enough to my back. It goes into the skin almost straight away and doesnt feel like your wearing it, which is nice. Your skin is soft and not sticky and it leaves no white marks which is great. It also doesnt feel horrible and thick on your face like others I have tried in the past. I also used the garnier after sun soothing lotion in the evenings and as a pair they really worked for me. I think its worth paying the extra for the clean product as it has so many good benifits to it. This worked very well. The only downside I would say this product has is that sometimes you miss parts of your body because you cant see it on your skin, I used the two bottles very quickly which was annoying as I have none left for next month! Overall: This was a very decent sun cream that really worked on my skin. My gf also said it was excellent and I will be buying more in the future, I would also pay full price for this. This gets 5 stars from me and I would recommend this to you. Thanks for reading my review, Hope it helped.
I absolutely love sunbathing and as soon as I am awake on holiday I want to be up, out and on the sunbed catching some rays! Obviously I also understand the importance of good sun protection and think this Garnier Clear Protect Spray is the perfect product. It allows me to apply the protection I need quickly so I can get into the sun! This is the best thing about this product for me-the fact that there is no thick cream to apply but instead just a simple transparent spray. Firstly it means you don't have the mess or have to sit and wait for it to sink into the skin for half an hour but also it doesn't give your skin the greasy feeling that normal creams do. Other positives I have noticed are that it doesn't have the strong smell that some others do, which I personally prefer as I find them overpowering. Also I find the lid easily clicks back on and as it is a spray bottle, there are no leakages which is a bonus when on holiday and its being constantly carried around in various bags with other items. Most importantly though, I have never burnt whilst using this sun spray, proving it is doing its job effectively. I usually use the factor 20 but they do come in a range of different factors so cater for all skin types. They also have a children's one (factor 30 or 50) which I can also say works well due to my little sister having used it on our last holiday and having no problems. Despite other reviews I have read on here saying the product doesn't need rubbing in and is waterproof, I would disagree with this and advise you to always ensure it has sunk into the skin properly by rubbing it in slightly and also reapplying after contact with water just incase. However, it is a lot easier than with normal creams as there is less mess and greasiness to contend with and is a lot quicker and easier in general. The only thing I can think is this product's downfall is the fact that if held at certain angles, it stops spraying as well but this is the same as all spray products and can't really be helped! Also, it is quite expensive at almost £14 for a 200ml bottle but does last for a decent amount of time as due to the spray function there is minimal wastage like you often get with cream. On average when I use the product on holiday a bottle usually lasts me around a week. It is still pretty costly but every time I have bought it, the product has been on a 2 for 1 offer somewhere or other. Overall then, I would definitely recommend this product as it's easier, quicker and less messy than any others I have used, whilst also doing a brilliant job at protecting your skin from the sun. One thing I would say though is to definitely have a shop around to get it on offer because it will be well worth the money then! Thanks for reading.
On a recent holiday abroad I made sure I had packed plenty suncare products. I usually buy the same lotions and sprays every year, but a promotion in my local supermarket for Garnier suncare products saw me taking a closer look at this range. It was then that I noticed this 'Clear Protect' spray which is a transparent body protection spray and after reading the information on the bottle I decided to give it a try, as I quite liked the idea of a transparent spray which I could quickly spray on to my skin without having to rub it in to absorb it or get rid of white marks. I am no stranger to sun protection sprays and favour them over the more traditional lotions as I find them easier to use and they provide the same adequate protection as a lotion does from the sun and its harmful rays. Garnier Ambre Solaire have been making suncare products for over 70 years now. Indeed Ambre Solaire is the only sun lotion I can remember using as a child, so there is no doubt they are a trusted brand, however in recent years I must admit I have became quite a fan of Nivea suncare products, so it had been quite a while since I last used any Garnier Ambre Solaire products and I was keen to see how this one fared against my usual purchases. Garnier Ambre Solaire Clear Protect sprays are available in low, medium or high SPF, with low giving you factor 10 protection, medium is available as either factor 15 or 20 and high is factor 30. Having dark hair I am not fair skinned and tan fairly easily, however I would still personally not purchase a low SPF lotion and as I was expecting the weather to be quite hot with a good deal of sunshine where we were going, I opted for the Medium SPF factor 20 spray. The spray comes in a white 200ml plastic bottle. There's a clear strip down the side of the bottle so you can see how much of the product is remaining when you start using it. The spray contains cactus nutriflavones and vitamin E and offers advanced UVA+UVB protection with photostability. The patented Mexoryl filtration system is what protects you from the UVA and UVB rays. The product claims to protect against premature skin ageing and is non-greasy, water resistant and has an ultra-fresh feel which leaves your skin feeling moisturised as well as protected. It has been dermatologically tested. The spray should be applied before exposure to the sun and should be re-applied frequently. Shake the bottle and spray onto your skin, it is as simple as that! I must point out however, that this product is not suitable to use on your face so you must ensure you apply a different, suitable suncare product to your face. The spray has a lovely smell which actually reminded me of the Ambre Solaire lotion I used a long time ago. It is difficult to describe it but I thought it was a little like an Aloe Vera lotion I have used before. It was very easy to spray the product onto my skin and the spray action is quite powerful, releasing a generous amount with every spray. I set about spraying this all over my exposed skin and found it absorbs quickly and easily without the need for any rubbing whatsoever. As it is clear, it leaves no white marks which is another bonus, but you are still able to see where you have sprayed the product as my skin was wet and shiny from the spray until it became absorbed. Therefore it was easy to apply an even coverage and ensure no parts of my skin were left unprotected. Because the spray can be used at any angle, it meant those hard to reach places were also easily covered. I wouldn't agree that this product was totally non-sticky as my skin did feel a little sticky when I first applied the spray, however once absorbed, there was no stickiness remaining. I went into the sea a little while after applying the spray and although it is water-resistant I did apply more of the product when I came out of the water just to be safe. Of course you should re-apply the spray frequently anyway, which I did, and not just when you come out of the water. By using this product regularly my skin was fully protected and I did not burn, but developed a nice tan over a period of time. I will definitely purchase this product again as it provides great protection and is definitely the easiest suncare product I have ever applied to my skin. Garnier Ambre Solaire Clear Protect Spray SPF20 is currently priced at £14.90 for a 200ml bottle at Boots, but is included in a buy one get one free promotion which they are currently running. I paid £7 for my bottle in a supermarket half-price suncare promotion, so it does pay to shop around and see if you can buy this product at a promotional price.
I've got very fair skin and burn very easily so I have to use sun protection every day during the summer months.I've been using this product as my sun protection for the last 3 years and it's the only one I would now ever consider buying as it is just so easy to use! There's no rubbing in thick white cream and looking a mess, missing bits and feeling all sticky with the Ambre Solaire Clear & Protect spray - it's an almost clear liquid (it has a very slight colour - like very diluted orange squash!), and you just spray it straight on to your skin and that's it - job done! It's available in SPF15, SPF20, SPF30 and SPF50 and can be used all over the body except for the face. It dries quickly, doesn't leave a sticky residue and lasts ages. It is also described as "Very water resistant", although if you're swimming you should still reapply regularly. It has a very slight fragrance but it is not overpowering or unpleasant - it reminds me of summer! At around £14 at full price, this product is more expensive than some other SPF products - however I see it as an investment and feel it is well worth the price. It is often on BOGOF and half price offers too which can save you a fortune. If you like your skin to be protected from sun damage but don't like to make a song or dance about it, this product is for you - it literally is spray it on, chuck it in your bag and head out to enjoy the sunshine!
Garnier Ambre Solaire is a company which has been creating excellent sun protection products for over 70 years that can be used by the whole family. They make sun protection easy to apply and safe to use thanks to their innovative formulas. Their products come in a wide range of Sun Protection Factors so there will be something to suit everyone. I have very fair skin and going out in the sun can be a nightmare on times. At the start of the summer, my skin seems to burn as soon as the sun touches it. On holidays, I reapply sun cream regularly as I'm always scared of burning, looking like a lobster and having to spend the next few days indoors. But this product has made my life so much easier and solved all my problems in a flash and I will be forever thankful to the company. Garnier Ambre Solaire Clear Protect has been named as Britain's number one clear protection spray. It offers high and long lasting protection in completely transparent formulations. The product comes in a white plastic bottle which has a clear strip running down one side so that you can see how much product you have left. It has an orange trigger button which you push down on to release the mist. Problem one - I hate the sticky feeling that you get when you use sun cream. The lotions makes your clothes stick to you and make you feel like you need to have a good wash, when you've only just stepped out of the house. I also hate the fact that everything you touch is left with a greasy mark and you look as though you've just run a marathon. Solution - This formula is non greasy and non sticky. It is absorbed incredibly quickly by the skin and almost looks like your wearing nothing at all. There's very little shininess and you don't feel messy. If you are using this on the beach, then the sand won't stick to you, hurray! And the hydrating complex is enriched with Cactus Nutriflavours and Vitamin E so it will keep your skin looking healthy. Problem two - I hate it the fact that ordinary white sun creams makes my pale skin look even paler I also dislike the embarrassment of missing a bit while rubbing in the cream and walking around with white marks on my face and body. Solution - This is a clear formula that will not distort the colour of your skin when applying. As it has no colour, there won't be any white bits to miss! I've also been envious of my friends who use sun oil protection but my skin has also been too sensitive for it. This is not an oil but it has the same 'no white marks' benefits. Problem three - I am obsessive with applying sun cream, especially on the first few days of my holiday. But I don't like to constantly bother the people that I'm with by asking them to cream my back every ten minutes. And because I don't want to bother them, I end up burnt on the one patch that I couldn't reach leaving me with a patchy coloured back and a few days indoors. Solution - The bottle is incredibly easy to use and is specially designed for all over use. The bottle actually works upside and the spray has some length so it so you can actually protect your whole body without bothering anyone else. I think you get the picture. The sun can be a real pain for me but this product has made life so much easier. The mist is incredibly cooling too so it's actually enjoyable to use, the complete opposite to how other products have made me feel. It can be reapplied constantly with minimum work. I have never been burnt while using it and even developed a nice tan which allowed me to lower my factor for the first time! It's not just the pale people amongst us that will love this product though as the SPF goes right down to 10 so everyone can enjoy this product. How does it work? Garnier uses the Mexoryl XL and SX filtration systems which offer complete protection against UVA and UVB rays of the sun which cause premature skin against. It forms a barrier across your skin which prevents those nasty rays from reaching your skin, allowing to you gain a healthy tan without the risk of burning. Their products give you photostable sun protection which means that the protection you receive won't break down in the sun. The product is available in SPF of 10, 15, 20 and 30 although health experts recommend that you never go lower than SPF 15. It costs around £12 for 150ml and can be bought from most supermarkets and departments stores and can also be found online. If you are lucky, you can sometimes find it on offer so stock up when you do. The only negatives for me are that because it is so user friendly, I go through a bottle in two days, while other sun creams have lasted me weeks. Like I said, I'm obsessive and I enjoy knowing that I'm not going to burn. I also love the cooling feeling when sitting in the hot sun. For calmer people though, it should last much longer. I'm not sure whether I would say that this product is suitable for use on the face. When I sprayed on my face, I could barely open my eyes and it really stung. I also developed a small eye infection in my left eye which is not what you want on holidays! You should also use a very high protection factor for your face anyway as you don't want to age prematurely. This product is best saved for the body. All in all, this is a fantastically easy to use non greasy, non sticky sun protection spray that will stop you burning and help you develop a natural and healthy tan. Thank you Garnier, you've made the sun my friend again.
I am sure most people have noticed the amazing amount of sun we have been having lately, although it would seem not everyone enjoys it as much as I do lol! With the large amount of sunshine we are having it is a vital idea to get sun screen, and one I have used this summer is Garnier Ambre Solaire Clear Protect Spray. The Garnier Ambre Solaire Clear Protect Spray I have been using is a factor 20, but there is other strengths available should you wish to use a higher one. The factor 20 is billed as Medium Protection. Garnier Ambre Solaire Clear Protect Spray is a brilliant product in my opinion. Not only is it non-greasy and water resistant, it smells great and it leave no white marks on your clothes. Also being a spray, you do not end up covered and smothered in too much cream, and it is really easy to rub into the skin. You literally just spray the lotion onto your skin, gently rub in, and you are done. It only takes seconds to apply, and the pump spray bottle is really easy to use, it really does take all the hassle out of protecting your skin from the damaging effects of the sun. It will protect you againt UVA and UVB rays. The spray does contain alcohol, so if you know that alcohol affects your skin, it is best not to use this product. I do have quite sensitive skin, which usually rashes up when I use most products, but I found that my skin had no problems with this product, in fact it felt smooth, soft and moisturised after use! The bottle lasts ages too, me and my partner both used it, and even with multiple daily applications it lasted me well over a month! It is a little expensive at around £10 for a 200ml bottle, but it does last well and works well for the money. I have had no burning when using this product, and I usually burn quite easily. I have had a slight tanning to my skin, which I am happy about, but there has been no sore spots or peeling that I usually get when I go out in the sun all day. I found that this product did exactly what it is meant to, and without causing any problems to my skin. Being a spray, this product can be quite cooling when reapplied, which I think is nice when you have been sitting or working in the hot sun for a while. When using any sunscreen product, remember that none of them can provide you with 100% protection from the sun, no matter how much you use or how often, so be responsible with your sun bathing and take care for your skin. This product can be bought in Boots, Superdrug, Many supermarkets and even online at places like Amazon or Ebay. If you shop around you will find a great price that makes this sun protection spray even more worth it then it already is. I totally recommend Garnier Ambre Solaire Clear Protect Spray as it is a perfect product for looking after your skin in the sun, and I feel that even though the price is a little high, it is worth it, as it lasts for ages and really does the job well.
This is great if you hate rubbing in greasy sun lotion. It sprays on with no need to even rub it in! It leaves no trace and is not greasy, its completley clear so no white marks either. I have always liked the quality of Ambre Solaire sun care and this new addition is wonderful. Especially for my fair skinned boyfriend who always needs to reapply lotions and it takes quite a long time to rub in lotions plus he always complains of feeling sticky- but this is almost unoticeable. Its quite expensive as Ambre Solaire always has been, but look out for offers and you can get it for a resonable price. If you have kids (or other halfs for that matter!) who hate the routine of being smoothered in sticky, greasy lotion every few hours then this is worth the money for the agro it saves. I tried other spray lotions that you dont need to rub in, last year in america but found that they left little white beads of lotion on the ends of your hairs, it was not very attractive so I felt I still wanted to rub it in, so I was dubious when I saw this product, but I was not disapointed, there was no trace of it at all once I had sprayed in all on. However I can see this as a downside, as you may miss an area and get burnt. I found as I was concerned about missing an area and also as I couldnt feel it that I perhaps applyed too much as I did run out very quickly- But I didnt burn......so still worth it I think. Maybe with the next bottle I will be able to use a little less as I get used to it.
The hot weather will not be too far away hopefully and I always protect my skin from the sun as it can burn very easily and it is essential to have protection as even though it does not appear that the sun is too strong, sometimes it certainly is and can burn without warning. I am very fair skinned and so burn very easily even if only outdoors for a short time. I use this one normally for myself and my hubby and I usually buy the factor 30 or above, but if I go abroad I always buy the higher one usually factor 50 as it can be much hotter but I have not bought higher ones for a couple of years as I have not been abroad since 2008 when we travelled to New York and it was so hot I had to take the stronger one and I am pleased I did. This comes in a nice white plastic bottle with an orange spray nozzle and transparent top, it can easily be sprayed directly onto the skin and left to dry for a couple of minutes and it works immediately, the liquid is clear and dries quite quickly which is excellent for instant protection for when you need it. I bought this one for only £6.95 for 200ml and a factor 30 from Sainsbury's a couple of days ago as it was on special offer as the usual price is around £13.99, and that is an absolutely brilliant offer and saving and it may appear expensive for even the original price but it is well worth every penny. It is 100% non greasy and it is not at all sticky like some others I have tried, I do not like the stickiness of others and so this one suits me perfectly and it does not irritate the skin. It is totally transparent on the skin and does not need to be rubbed into the skin and protects it against UVA and UVB rays, which cause sunburn and long term sun damage to the skin. It is water and sweat resistant and so is perfect for going into water if on holiday in the pool or sea. What I used to tend to do after going into a pool, I used to wait until my skin dried and then re applied and it was perfect again, I no longer can walk into the sea and do not use a pool but I still re apply after a few hours if on holiday or even at home. I am going to use this on my grandson for when he visits and see how it works but they do a children's one too and so I may try one of those if this one does not work well on his skin, if it does I will keep using this one but I do not know if this one would be suitable for a young child as yet as this will be his first one outdoors this year. I recommend as a must to try to protect your skin from the sun and not burn as it is important. I give it 5 stars. Thank you for reading my review.
This is a brilliant suncream, and as I am pale and tend to burn easily the first time I used this I was very impressed. The clear spray is a good idea, however even though it is a clear spray you still need to rub it in. I say this because the first time my boyfriend used the spray he thought it didnt needed to be rubbed in, and as he didnt listen to me, he came off the beach that day to find he had sunburnt in different patches all over his body, where the suncream hadnt been! So always remember to rub it in. It is non greasy and rubs in easily. My boyfriend still uses this suncream and swears by it. However I have stopped using this spray now, the reason for this is because I find the actual spray button quite hard to use when you are about half way down the bottle. I think this is really just a personal preference, and I have found that I do prefer to use lotions now rather than sprays, even if it can be a little messier. This product is still a great product though, it can be a little procey but if you shop around then you are bound to a get a great deal. We buy this spray from Superdrug as they usually have it on a 2 for 1 offer, this combined with my 10% student discount, it is great value. It also lasts a long time so you may not need that many bottles. You still need to reapply this sray after you have been in the water because I think that there is not a suncream where you can still be fully protected after you have gotten out of the water. As I do burn easily when I used this product I was well protected from the sun, using a factor 20. Overall, even though I do not use it now, it is one of the best sun sprays on the market at the moment at a great value.
This is without a doubt the best sun protection I have EVER had! The clear spray does exactly what it says on the bottle! The biggest advantages for me are - it is a spray- means you can get to all the hard to reach areas like the centre of your back - it is a non greasy clear mist rather than a white cream which is unbelievably easier! ... imagine no white greasy stains on your clothes or even worse like i have experienced in the past, on your skin! some lotions are so thick they take so long to rub in and even then you still look a greasy shade of white! - dries instantly.... no more sand stuck to you! - only need to apply just before sun exposure These are my top 4 advantages but of course there are many more, water resistent, contains vitamin E, advanced uva & uvb protection etc Onto the negatives The smell in my opinion is not so pleasant but thankfully doesnt linger too much it is pricey (but sun protection always is!) RRP £16 . I got a real bargain though in wikinsons half price AND buy one get one free!! so £4 each! I have noticed lots of offers on amazon etc too It says on the back of the bottle not to apply to face, although i always have and i have never experienced any problems (obviously keep your eyes and mouth shut!!) This really is a great poduct and I would definitely not buy any other sun protection after using this!
This can be an expensive option when searching out your holiday protection but boy does it do a good job. Stock up if you see it on offer! Firstly, this is a dry oil spray. The spray does not clog up and you get a good coverage with each burst. The spray nozzle is easy to press and even when the bottle is held upside down the product manages to spray effectively. The oil is very light and sinks into skin leaving it dry and oil-free. It has a lovely light scent but i can't think of any specific scent. It is not overpowering and wouldn't overpower any perfume. The product is waterproof to a degree. when you go into water your skin can feel a bit slippy, this is the product acting as a shield. If you rub your skin in the water however I think the product washes off, and you would need to re-apply it. This is good practice anyway. I have used this on my face and have not had any problems with blocked pores, greasy skin or anything like that. It can make your hair greasy but that's just me not bothering to pin it back! The bottle is excellent because you can see when your product is running out, it is small and compact, and the dry oil dispenses really well. A bottle would last me a week on holiday. One of the disadvantages of this spray is that if you do wear it on your face and you're wearing any kind of make up beneath it or on top, it will smudge/come off/go patchy. So if you want to wear makeup on holiday i would suggest getting a separate cream for your face - or high SPF make up.
With it being very sunny in the last few days, I went to Wilkinsons to see what they had on offer in terms of suncream. I always buy spray bottles, I cant be bothered with the creams now, they just get too messy, and are a pain to apply. You can get it in a range of spf from 15 to 50 for kids and adults. This bottle comes with a spray function thats covered up by a click on lid. It doesnt leak and can be thrown around. The liquid looks a bit like wee, but when sprayed onto your skin looks clear. I find you have to spray quite a lot to cover an area, but I didnt get burnt and have gone a nice golden brown colour. It also says on the bottle that it has 5* against UVA, which is nice to know. The spray doesnt work so well upside down, so try and spray upright when you can. I reapplied around every hour, and was wearing factor 20. You can see how much there is left in the bottle as theres a hole down one side of the label. It cost me £12.99 for 2 bottles as it was buy one get one free. I think this was quite expensive, but you pay more for it being clear, as you get no white marks, and more as its garnier. I would usually go for superdrugs own, but was in a rush as I wanted to go sunbathe!
