The Garnier Ambre Solaire No Streaks Bronzer Self Tan Dry Body Mist is available for GBP 9.98.
The bronzer comes in a bronze bottle. On the bottle are the produkt name and the product information. The bottle contains 150 ml.
The bronzer is described as follows. "No streaks bronzer combines a naturally-derived self-tanning ingredient and apricot extract in a formula that gives your skin a natural-looking golden tan after just 3 hours. It will give you the beautiful glow of a golden tan: streak-free without having to rub in."
The ingredients are Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Glycerin, Dihydroxyacetone, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Tri-C14-15 Alkyl Citrate, Stearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Ceteareth-15, PEG-100 Stearate, Dimethicone, Prunus Armeniaca Kernel Oil, CI 15985, Tocopherol, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylparaben, Dimethiconol, Limonene, Linalool, Benzyl Salicylate, Benzyl Alcohol, Propylparaben, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Geraniol, Disodium EDTA, Methylparaben, BHT, Butylparaben, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Citronellol, Citral, Coumarin, Glycine Soja Oil and Fragrance.
The bronzer can be applied well and evenly. The bronzer absorbs well and after two to four hours, the skin seems tanned. The bronzer gives the skin a natural and even tan, but the tan seems unnatural and uneven after repeated use. The bronzer does not care for the skin, nor does it moisturize the skin.
The bronzer has a fresh, fruity scent. The scent cannot be noticed after use.
I cannot recommend the Garnier Ambre Solaire No Streaks Bronzer Self Tan Dry Body Mist, as it gives the skin an unnatural and uneven tan. The bronzer does not moisturize the skin.
Having pale skin, dark hair and always wearing black clothes (in an attempt to hide my massive belly) I am reguarly likened to a goth! I envied my friends all year tan but never had the money, expertise or patience to achieve that tanned look. Anyway, we had a special trip to the races planned, to which I had to waer a dress so I gave this a go and I was so glad that I did.
~So, how am I going to look sunkissed and beautiful?~
I got mine from Morissons, I think it was around £6 for 150ml and I bought the medium one and am very impressed with the results. You can easily apply this product by holding the can around 30-40 cm away from the skin and spraying in an even motion up and down to ensure that you are getting an even coverage but when using in my face, I tend to hold a little further away but not in any particular pattern but rather how you would when putting hairspray on your hair. It may seem risky doing it like this but I find that this has the best streak free results.
The mist dries really quickly and doesnt leave your skin feeling sticky or heavy.
Your beautifully summery skin will start to show signs of tanning after about 3 hours , and it really does look natural and sun-kissed.
~Anything else going for it?~
Another good feature is that you can still spray the can from different angles, including upside down so no excuse for white marks. One place I always forget to do are the insides of my arms which is very embarressing if you realise when you are out.
The bronzer is enhanced with apricot extract which leaves a lovely smell behind, well I think its lovely but my hubby says it smells like furniture polish! Each to their own....
~How you can get sunkissed too~
Garnier Ambre Solaire products are very popular and can be purchased from most Supermarkets and Beauty shops and are easily identified by the Garnier sign whereby the GA is sat within a green circle with a leaf in the background.
This cannister is a golden shimmery metal in keeping with the product type and depicts an apricot (referring to the apricot extracts)
Garnier products are also available at discounted prices online.

I have very pale skin and have longed for that sunkissed look so many girls seem to instantly have as soon as the sun comes out. I have never wanted to try sun beds however, the idea of baking my skin just to achieve a nice colour has never really been appealing to me. So far, fake tans have not bode well for me. I often end up with streaks and odd patches, or the fake tan tends to rub off my skin onto my clothes and furniture; so I wasnt expecting much when I purchased this.
However I was pleasantly suprised! It is so easy to apply, theres not rubbin with a tanning mitt, or rubbing it into your skin in awkward position in a circular motion. You simply spray it on (it drys more or less instantly) and voila! I tend to put it on before bed, then by the time you wake up in the morning you have lovely, even sunkissed skin. The dry mist also smells lovely, and stays on your skin and is non transferable (so it doesnt go all over your bed quilts whilst you sleep or your clothes during the day.
The Ambre Solair comes in three shades; light, medium and dark. I have fair skin but I tend to use the medium one, as I found the light one didnt really give me the shade I was looking for and wasnt too noticable.
It comes in a 150ml can and retails for between £8 and £12 depending on where you get it from, but it is definitely worth the pennies.
The instructions on the can and on Boots.com tell you to spray it on and the rub it in - however I find if you do this then your tan can look streaky or uneven, the best this to do is just to spray it on and leave it. I would advise you to put a towel down underneath you though, as when you spray it on, any mist that doesnt hit your skin falls to the floor and you can end up inadvertantly tanning your carpet! Because of this, you can also finish with extra tanned feet - but this is my only criticism of the product!
I have just reviewed the Garnier Ambre Solaire Dry Mist Face Bronzer and realised I never reviewed the one for the body! So here it is!
As I have pale skin in the winter and only get a slight colour in the sun, when the summer months arrive I go on the hunt for a fake tan solution to my problem. I don't want to even try sun-beds because of the cancer risk and I tend to burn if I am not careful in the sun. I also have had many disasters with fake tan as I am so clumsy. I was forever getting streaks and smudges with other fake tans but the Ambre Solaire mist seemed to be a perfect match.
The Ambre Solaire Dry Mist Bronzer comes in 3 shades: - light to fair, Medium Bronze and now Medium Intense. I normally pick up the light to fair in the winter, and then in the summer progress to the medium bronze. The last time I picked it up I thought I was getting the Medium Bronze but in fact got the Medium Intense by mistake. When I got it home I though it would be far to dark so planned to take it back. I preferred the lighter shades as if I missed an area or sprayed too heavily etc it wasn't very noticeable and the shade was only very light so I was concerned it would be a disaster trying the dark shade.
As with most things I never got round to taking it back so it sat in my cabinet until my other tin ran out. At this point I did have some colour on my arms so decided to give it a try.
I applied the dry mist all over my arms, torso and legs lightly as I feared it may have been too dark. The next morning I got up and was very impressed. The spray had given me a natural sun kissed look just like the other shades I had tried and it wasn't too dark. In fact on my legs and arms was the perfect shade. The tan was even and golden in colour, with no streaks, dark patches or missed bits even though I had been a bit haphazard applying it. The tan lasted in it full colour for around 3 days then gradually and more importantly evenly faded. I was so impressed I have since begun buying this Medium Intense Shade all the time, it suits me so well!
The Garnier Ambre Solaire Original Intense No Streaks Bronzer Dry Body Mist Medium Skin comes in a 150 ml can with a spray applicator and is normally priced at around £8 per can. The spray nozzle works at all angles making application to hard to reach areas a doddle. I found this enabled me to even spray my own back as you can simply spray down for the neck.
It is enriched with Apricot extract and vitamin E to help condition the skin and stop it drying out, as my skin can become a little dry the morning after I apply it I do moisturise which helps the tan to last even longer! As it is enriched with Apricot you can pick up on this in the fragrance a little and when first applied it smells lovely. After about 30 minutes you do get that fake tan smell coming through but the aroma is much lighter and not as noticable as you get from other fake tan sprays.
As it is a dry mist spray as soon as it hits your skin it dries instantly so you don't have to rub it in - no more orange palms!! When you apply you simply spray onto the skin evenly holding the can around 30 cm away. Although the spray does dry instantly I would recommend not dressing for around 5 minutes just to ensure nothing transfers to your clothing.
Garnier claim the tan to be natural looking, and streak free which I personally can vouch for. It develops in around 3 hours after application. The original intense medium shade was much lighter then anticipated and gave a good looking glow to my skin and I have already used 2 cans of it! The tan is natural and even, and the application is easy and not messy!
The Garnier Ambre Solaire Original Intense No Streaks Bronzer Dry Body Mist Medium Skin is generally priced at around £8 per 150 ml but I have recently been buying this can and the face mist from Morrison's at just £3.00 per can!
