Green people after sun
On a recent holiday I decided to try out an after sun lotion which I had never tried before and decided that this would be one of the products I would trial. I liked the fact that the packaging is recyclable and also, because I was using it on Little Miss, I like that the company claims to use only the purest, natural and organic ingredients.
The product contains organic aloe vera, Candula and Mint, and whilst I know very little about the healing properties of different ingredients, I do know that these will be soothing
**What/who is it for?**
This is marketed as a natural after sun lotion for all skin types which can also be used as a cool, fresh body lotion. It is also apparently suitable for people who may be prone to eczema and psoriasis and also people with sensitive skin. It is also suitable for vegans and vegetarians
**What does it do?**
The product promises to:
*Reduce peeling and help the healing processes in the skin
*Have a cooling effect on sun-heated skin
*Prolong the tan by retaining moisture in dehydrated skin
**Product and Packaging...**
The product comes in a 200ml plastic squeezable tube with a screw on/off lid. When I open the lid to get some of the product out, I do have to give it quite a squeeze to get it out, and when it does start to come out of the bottle, it does so quite slowly. The sun lotion itself is quite thick although not overly creamy but when I rub it into the skin, it does feel really cooling and after a day in the sun it really does cool my skin down. It is absorbed easily into the skin, leaving no sticky residue and the cooling feeling does last for a considerable length of time. It has a strong mint smell when first applied which once absorbed by the skin isn't overpowering but does give more of a feeling of coolness. I like the mint smell, as it smells fresh and light and just right for freshness after being in the sun.
It can be used on the face and body all year round, but as an after sun should be applied liberally after exposure to the sun. This we did, and found that a little bit of the product does go along way and really cools the skin.
**Price and Availability...**
I bought mine online for £9.99. A full list of the products can be found on the website www.greenpeople.co.uk.
I like this product and would certainly buy it again for future holidays. It was fine for my skin as well as for Little Miss and seemed to reduce any redness or soreness. We don't tend to peel but regardless of this, this product did help to keep our skin really moisturised. We continued to use it on our return to England and didn't suffer from drying out skin as sometimes happens once out of the sun and not using sun creams.
A highly recommended after sun product for the whole family.
