Hawaiian tropic complete care after sun after bath
I tend to buy a lot of the Hawaiian tropic products when we go abroad because i like the smell and they remind me of holidays spent in the sunshine. I had never tried this one before but decided it was worth a go because I have never had any problems with the products before.
WHAT DOES IT DO?
Since this doesn't just market itself as an after sun, but rather as complete body care, i am expecting something great from it, although even before I use it, I do expect it to be merely an after sun/moisturiser...not cynical, merely a realist.
This is an after sun/after bath product so I believe that makes it the kind of product which can be used all year round as a body moisturiser, unless it is for after the bath when you have previously spent the day on the sun. I digress... the product contains super rich moisturisers including Aloe vera Gel, Collagen, Vitamins A B and E, and it also contains australian tea Tree Oil.. It promises to be easily absorbed and will provide moisture for dehydrated skin.
The product can be used daily to help to prolong a tan, and should be used after a bath, shower, sun exposure whenever skin feels dehydrated.
PRODUCT AND PACKAGING.
The product comes in a plastic 400ml clear bottle with all the instructions and information on the back of the bottle. The bottle has a pump action trigger which has to be pushed down so that the moisturiser can come out.
When i look through the bottle, the moisturiser looks a kind of dark cream colour but when I get some out of the bottle, it is much lighter. The smell of the moisturiser/ after sun does surprise me because I am expecting it to have the 2smell of the islands2 as advertised on the sun tan oils and lotions. Instead it has less of a summer holiday smell, and whilst it smells fruity, it smells more like my usual moisturisers. Not unpleasant, and not disappointing, just a bit unexpected. Anyway, I don't think i want to be smelling so fruity after a day in the sun- maybe a bit neutral after a shower is a good thing.
The after sun itself isn't really thick and creamy, because if it was, it would probably clog up the pump. However, partly because of the fact that it's not incredibly thick, it does soak easily into my skin and doesn't need lots and lots of rubbing in. So, I can apply it and go, which is a bonus because I hate it when I rud and rub and massage and am still left with a thin layer of white moisturiser on my skin
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
Available in shops and online, this cost me £2.49 so I think i got a really good after sun for a very small price
Hawaiian Tropic Inc
The website www.htropic.com has lots of informatioon about the products and looking after your skin in the sun
This aftersun has a lovely soothing feeling when applied after a shower when i have spent time in the sun. It is easily absorbed by my skin and leaves no sticky residue.
Although it doesn't smell like the sun oils which I am so fond of, I do like the smell, and because it is so easy to apply, and easily absorbed, i would recommend this to anyone going on holiday, or even as a normal every day moisturiser to keep skin soft and hydrated.
