Some time ago I was shopping around for a gradual tanning moisturiser for my face. After buying and trying a few I still couldn't find a one that had good results after use, and the one I had always used before seems to have discontinued. I noticed the L'Oreal sublime bronze one day because there is a male version that my boyfriend currently uses and loves. I decided to try the females version hoping it would be just as good. I originally saw it in Superdrug priced at £11.99 but I found the exact same bottle and same size in Savers for only £2.99! I definitely thought it was worth a try for that price.
The L'Oreal Sublime Bronze One Day contains unique bronzing technology which combines caramel, tinting agents and pearl particles to give the skin a magical glow. It acts like a translucent veil of colour on your skin for a sheer bronzed effect. It enhances the natural colour of the skin and is therefore suitable for all skin tones.
I wasn't sure if this was a moisturiser or not as it was on the shelf next to all the tanning lotions in Savers, and next to all the other L'oreal bronzing products in Superdrug. I bought it anyway as I thought I could always just moisturise first anyway and then apply the one day cream after.
To use you distribute this evenly on your skin, avoiding the areas around your eyes. If you want a more intense result then it states you can reapply this. However, I think one application is enough. It is a one day cream and so you need to apply it everyday for a bronzed look, you cannot miss a day out in between as my skin just goes back to its natural pale colour if I do this.
I always apply this before applying my make-up and so you need to allow the product to dry before doing this. I always wait around 5 minutes and this seems to be long enough.
It is important that you wash your hand after applying as it can stain them slightly.
Overall I love this product. It isn't the exact product I was looking for as it doesn't moisturise my face as well as make it appear bronzed, but I don't mind using a moisturiser seperately just before applying this. The bronzed look it leaves is noticeable very quickly after applying, and makes my skin stay that way all day. As I mentioned previously you do need to reapply this again the next day though. It doesn't seem to dry my skin out or make it appear oily and greasy, like other gradual tanning products have.
However, if you don't like the results after applying this, or put too much on, then it can be washed off. I have never had to do this though!
This is prices at around £12 in Boots and Superdrug which is quite expensive. However, Savers sell this for only £2.99 and they seem to have it in stock all year round.
