      Very helpful

Overall a great product worth the money

For years my aftersun of choice was Nivea Soft cream. I didn't like specific after sun products and so settled for a cooling cream to ease any nasty burning. The downside of this was that you had to rub it in, which isn't ideal for very sore sunburned skin! So I decided to give Neal's Yard Aloe Vera aftersun a try. It costs £8.80 which is more than you would pay for a branded after sun but I've found it more effective than anything else I have ever tried.

The product comes in a blue plastic bottle with a spray nozzle which is protected by a plastic cap. The bottle is 100ml and an information label provides lots of detail about the product. When going on holiday, I put it in some bubble wrap for travel but it did not leak.

"soothes and comforts overheated skin" is the tagline on the bottle. It absolutely does what it says. The spray applicator allows for easy use with a decent amount of product coming out on each spray. You can let it settle on the skin, or spread it with your hands. It feels very light going on and has a lovely fresh fragrance. A bottle is sufficient for a two week holiday if you were using it on a daily basis. It feels really soothing on burned skin, and takes the red horrid sting out of it. Sometimes sunburn wakes you up in the night, this product seems to soothe skin enough that it is not giving you ongoing pain.

According to the bottle it should be used within 6 months of opening. I have had mine open for longer than this and it is still working fine. So use up time would be a matter of judgement. It is 99% organic and Soil Association approved. A batch number and best before date are provided on the bottle.

      *Neal's Yard*

I bought mine online but I have shopped instore before and the staff are incredibly helpful and happy to guide you to suitable products. You can order directly from the website and free delivery is available.

Overall, a really good product but it's probably a good idea not get burned in the first place!
