Advantages: Moisturising, great value, good for skin after being in the sun as well as in general
Disadvantages: None
I'm naturally red-haired and very pale and so decent sun protection is a necessity for me whenever I'm anywhere sunny. As well as using a good sun cream, I also find it important to have a good after sun cream, as this can really help to calm down my skin if it gets burnt or even pink from being out in the sun. I find myself using it so much in the summer months especially that I actually use it in lieu of traditional moisturiser most of the time. If I get a good after sun, I find that its moisturising properties give my face the soft and smooth effect that I am looking for and that further moisturising is not necessary. I have therefore been using this after sun a lot, recently, even though the sun has been rather sporadic this summer.

While I usually go for Boots Soltan range, as this is what I used to use a child and so choose it mainly out of habit, I recently decided to buy this one from Nivea as it was reasonably priced at Tesco, whereas Soltan is usually fairly expensive. The fact that this one states that it is moisturising was also a plus, considering that I mainly use it for the purpose of moisturising my face.
== What I Thought ==
I've been using this after sun both as my daily moisturiser as well as after periods in the sun for a couple of months now and have to say that I've been impressed by it. When my skin is a bit pink from being outside, I find that this lotion really helps to calm it down and get my skin back to its normal tone again. The fact that it contains aloe vera has undoubtedly something to do with this, as it's meant to be a good ingredient for sun-hit skin. In terms of it being a moisturiser, it is also effective and in general my face is lovely and smooth after I've used it (if I do say so myself). This product also lasts a very long time - I've been using it for at least six weeks and there still seems to be a good amount left in the bottle. Considering that I use it a few times per day, this is excellent value, and I imagine it would last for a very long time if you only used it as after sun on your face. Obviously, if you use it for your body as well, it will run out more quickly, but probably still last a decent length of time.
== Conclusion ==
This is a great moisturising after sun that I am very happy to have bought. It is also very reasonably priced, with Mysupermarket.com informing me that it costs £3.19 for 200ml at Superdrug, £3.24 at Boots or £4.00 at Asda. I highly recommend this after sun lotion, especially to people who get affected by the sun as much as I do.
Summary: A great after sun lotion
