Rimmel Sunshimmer Instant Tan is one of the cheapest fake tans around, especially if you shop for it in Bodycare, where you can get it slightly cheaper!
There are four colour and shades you can buy the tan in; Light Matte, Light Shimmer, Medium Matte and Medium Shimmer. I always tend to go for Medium Matte as I feel that choosing medium makes the tan more effective on my skin and therefore I won't have to use as much, plus I don't think Light would quite do the trick on my pale skin tone!
I choose matte because I don't fancy going for the discoball look which the shimmer tan often gives you! If that's what you're after then by all means go for it but I think it's a bit too much glitter for any time past the 80s!

When applying Sunshimmer you must build it up bit by bit because if you try to put too much on at once you will definitely end up looking as streaky as bacon, not very sexy!
Another tip is to mix the tan with a bit of moisturizer. Because the moisturizer is nourishing your skin it allows for the tanning make up to be fully absorbed, again helping you avoid getting streaks and blotches.

Because instant tans are obviously the fastest solution to pale skin, they obviously have their downfall. They wash off immediately. So I'll warn you now, if you're going for a big night out on the town and you want to look sunkissed and gorgeous...check the weather forcast because as soon as it starts to rain you'll be looking like a spotted dog in no time and unless it's a fancy dress night I highly doubt any of you want the 101 dalmation image following you through the night.

Finally, your hands will need a thorough wash after application otherwise your hands will be ridiculously dark and even slightly purple, it's kind of a give away. You're supposed to be able to tell people the tan is natural so do try and avoid this!

I do rate this fake tan because it does instantly give you an amazing tan, obviously it wouldn't be so popular if it was no good! But you do have to use with care, otherwise you could end up looking pretty messy before you even leave the house.
