I am quite pale skinned and have always hated it, if I go out in the sun (even with sun tan lotion on) I go red then peel, not attractive. I was going on holiday to Italy for two weeks and wanted to look a little tanned before going as I didn't want to look like I was a tourist on the beach amongst the toned, tanned Italian ... I like the idea of having a tan you don't have to commit yourself to. If you want a 'proper' tan you have to go on holiday - let's face it, the sun in England isn't really worth it. If you want a fake tan, you have it for a good while and have to keep it up otherwise it goes blotchy and awful. That's why the idea of having a tan ... Read the complete review

I always wear this product whenever I go on a night out. It's great and it last's all night! I usually use a fake tan anyway, but use this to make my tan look deeper when i'm out. I apply this tan after I have had a shower and moisterised. I used to apply it with my hands, but found that the product stuck to my fingers and was ... Read the complete review

Rimmel Sun Shimmer does work for instantly giving you a tan, it really does shimmer too but not so much that you look like you've doused yourself in glitter, it just gives a nice sheen which i think makes your legs look slimmer and longer. It is a very dark tan too so if you are just wanting to add a little bit of colour then this one ... Read the complete review

I started using this product about 5 years ago and i have never used anything else. I have never been very good at applying fake tan and it tended to either be streaky or i would end up with orange hands! My sister recommended this to me and at first i started using medium matte shimmer. This was a lovely colour and gave me a really ... Read the complete review

Firstly, Rimmel is one of my all time favourite makeup brands. I own an assortment of Rimmel eye shadows, blushers and eyeliners and they never fail to disappoint, additionally the range isn't too expensive which is an added bonus. Recently, I realised my skin was almost milk coloured obviously with it being Winter, the pale look really ... Read the complete review

With winter fog shrouding the landscape I feel shut in and fed up so yesterday I thought i'd have a pamper day and get all my beauty products out and go through them, throwing away what was nearly empty and putting in place the one's I've been bought for xmas. Whilst doing this I came across a tube of Rimmel sunshimmer instant ... Read the complete review

Before a night out I like to have a nice tan to make me feel that little bit more glamorous. I am a real fan of fake tan and love st tropez. However, occasionally I try to save a bit of money by using new products that I can apply myself. This rimmel sunshimmer instant tan makeup is something that caught my eye when scouring the makeup ... Read the complete review

This product can be purchased for around £3.99 from places like superdrug, body care etc and heres why I like it. Over the years I have tried many fake tan products you know the ones exfoliate before hand and gradually build a 'natural looking tan' over time, you apply praying that this time it will work this one has to be ... I found this product at a car boot sale, hardly ever used and sold for only 50p! (But there were two - so I bought both!) So the moment I saw this, I thought why not? Give it a try. You may get amazing results or you may get terrible results. I heard other people's opinions on this product before and some people like this product, others ... Read the complete review

I bought this fake tan absolutely ages ago. I got it from the market and it cost me about £5. The reason I bought it was because it was summer at the time, and having naturally very pale skin I was feeling a bit left out amidst all my bronzed and tanned up friends. I bought this in medium shimmer. I didn't want to get the ... Read the complete review

This is my first review and i thought i'd start off with my own speciality- Fake tan. As a naturally very fair skinned person who feels the need to wear false tan all year round due to my lack of ability to catch a natural tan. I feel that this is a great alternative to sunbeds and many other false tans. Other fake tans being hard to ... Read the complete review

Being completely inept at fake tan a friend of mine suggested instant fake tan, which would be perfect for me as I am forever getting an uneven, streaky fake tan when using those products which develop over a series of hours. Boots stock this product in Light and Medium, with each having either a matte look or shimmer. Initially I ... Read the complete review

I love early summer when the sun finally decides to make an appearance. It's great to get out my summer clothes, but what a shame that my legs are so pale after months of darkness. I never seem to be organised enough with fake tan, which is where Rimmel Sun Shimmer comes in. Sun Shimmer is a makeup product, not a fake tan. ... Read the complete review

The future's bright, the skin is unnaturally Orange! If you've ever been in a club, bar or just walked down the main street in your city centre, then you've probably seen bleach blonde girls with glowing orange, streaky skin. How is this achieved? I have used this false tan for years, and many of my friends too. It is the best instant tan that I have ever tried, and believe me, i have tried many! It is easy to apply, providing that your skin isn't too dry. If so, add a little moisturiser whist applying, or if you do have a couple of streaks (this rarely happens). The best ...
