I've tried numerous different brand of fake tans, in different formulas from mousse, to spray, to cream, to strips. Im not very good at applying fake tan I can never judge the amount im using correctly, so either end up with not enough or going o.t.t ompa lumpa style. In my case I find a spray tan easiest to apply. The Brand ====== Sally Hansen is most commonly known for her innovative nail products. In the late 1950's Sally set up this company with her chemist husband. Creating her first product 'Hard As Nails', which is now the number one brand of nail care. Before seeing this fake tan I was unaware that Sally made any other types of products than nail care. I own several of her nail polishes which I love, so upon seeing the tan I had to try it out Pricing And Longevity ============= I brought this current product first time around for £11. However I now buy it from www.fragrancedirect.co.uk where it is only £6.99. At one point the Tesco store in my area had it reduced to clear at just £2.99 so I took advantage and brought a couple of bottles at the time. The spray can holds 75ml, which lasts me around 2 months and id say I get around 4-5 uses out of one can. Which for the price you cant really moan at. As this is known as leg make up it does not last forever, iv never noticed the tan to reduce or wear off on a night/ day out. Only when I wash it off in the shower. Instructions for use =========== I find application of this product very easy compared to other brands on the market. Shake well prior to application, and then holding the can around 10-15 cm away from you, spray directly into your hand. Then apply evenly all over your legs. I find if you apply with circular motions, it leaves no streaks or white patches. If your a first time tanner, or a bit of a novice like me a little tip I would give would be to mix this tan with a little bit of lotion, this prevents skin drying out, makes it easier to see which areas have been tanned and and you've missed, this tip also prevents overuse and ending up with the tangoed look. Outcome ====== Once applying the tan you can dress within as little as 60 seconds, but I always leave it 10 minutes just to be safe. Iv never had any transfers onto clothing with this tan, which is one of my pet hates, orange stains on your clothing is really not ideal! This tan is weightless and water resistant. It gives a lovely soft finish and leaves your skin smelling quite musky which I like. I find other tans to leave quite a greasy feel to my skin, but with this you don't realise you have any product on at all. Sally Hansens product gives me a all round holiday glow look, with no streaks or patches. Its easy to apply, a perfect product for beginners or more experienced tanners. To Summarise ======== This is now my favourite fake tan on the market. Its relatively cheap to purchase compared to other brands on the market. The instructions are simple and easy to follow. You can rely on this product to give you a nice tan every time. I would recommend this product to anyone. I have not once experienced any problems with it This is why im giving it a 5 star rating.
I try not to go too heavy on the tanning products as I am really pale and it always looks really fake when I put a lot of tan on. However I do like to put a light tan on when I am going somewhere special, because I don't really use tan that much, I don't like having to fuss over it when I am applying. The easier the better, I have found that this tan is really easy to get a nice glow on my legs and am really happy with it! Application This tan comes out as a spray, to get a nice even tan, I spray it onto my legs and make sure that I don't miss any spots. It is really important to keep the spray moving to ensure a nice even tan. You can see this tan as it goes on, so it is really easy to cover every last bit, also I only skim my knees so I don't get build up on them. What I Thought I really liked this tan, it has a really healthy looking glow to it, is a tiny bit shimmery and also looks quite natural, which is good for me because of my pale skin tone. My legs always look lovely when I use this. This tan doesn't really last that long, its kind of apply on, wash off, usually after my first or second shower it is completely gone, I actually like this as it means that I am back to my own colour after my night out. I don't mind the smell that comes from this spray, it isn't really over powering or sickening like some other fake tans I have used in the past which is a big plus for this spray. I would definitely recommend this tan and will be buying it in the future, the spraying is so quick and easy. Price and Availability I picked my bottle up in my local chemist for around £3, I think that this was a great deal as I have seen it as expensive as £5, however if I had to pay £5 for it, I think it would be worth it as a bottle lasts ages and it is such a handy product. Overall I really liked this tan, it is quick, easy and there isn't much mess or hassle with it. Also it looks lovely on my legs and is easily washed off in the shower. Overall I would give this tan 5 out of 5 stars. *also on ciao under lorrainek90
If you are like me and you love to look tanned on a night out then this is perfect. This has become a girls night out essential and I now feel naked if I don't put it on while getting ready. Rub on with a mitt while getting ready and you look about 10 times better (in my case anyway) (make sure you exfoliate and shave before using for even coverage). I don't think the tan is particularly natural but it goes with my nighttime make-up and makes you look slimmer (as all tans do) in a dress. I would not advise it for the day as it's a little dark and shimmery. It also comes off quite easily if (like me) you live in a rainy place, or if you dance too much and sweat too much. Again this is why I would only recommend for night as a club will forgive streaks but the daytime sun will not! I also think that if you are choosing to wear it clubbing then you can wear it anywhere on your body, as it will make arms, legs, stomach slimmer, and chest will look amazing in this tan. The tan is instant and coloured so you can see exactly where you put it. Perfect for a Night out- but stick to nights out only!
I have to admit I do like a natural looking glow all year round. This is not a vanity thing whatsoever as without a tan I could quite happily wear certain garments of clothing without the glow it is just a matter of preference and I prefer a natural looking tan rather than the milk bottle shade although as I have Italian heritage my natural milk bottle shade is more olive than anything! I will however only tan via natural sunlight or by using a fake tan I will never use a sunbed. However, there are times when I need a deeper tan for occasions such as an evening out, weddings etc when I am wearing certain garments especially when showing my legs. I generally use a gradual tanning product whereby you apply frequently to build up a natural looking tan but as stated above there are times when I need more of an instant tan. I have on and off for the past few years had a product called Airbrush Legs by Sally Hansen sitting on my dressing table. Now Sally Hansen is probably more widely known for her collections of nail products rather than her make up range mainly because her nail products are more widely available than her make up. I have used several of her products all with pretty good results so I didn't really hesitate in using this product originally a few years ago. Now if you are wanting a gradual tanning product or a tanning product which lasts for a considerable amount of time then this isn't the product for you. Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs has been specifically formulated to give a tan in an instant. It also states that it will cover up imperfections such as veins and freckles (as well as anything else you want to cover up) but will also enhance your natural skin tone and thereby giving a natural looking tan just without the effort of applying a gradually tanning product. It of course all sounds very simple and easy so does it actually work? Considering on the Sally Hansen website reviewers on average have given the product 3 and a half stars out of 5 it doesn't really bode well. What Sally Hansen has to say about its product: "Tanning and pantyhose are so yesterday. Now you can give your legs a makeover in just seconds. No sun. No salon. No streaks. Just flawless-looking, irresistible, sexy legs. This lightweight leg makeup, enriched with Palmaria Extract, enhances the coverage of freckles, veins and imperfections. It's water and transfer resistant. Bare legs are nice. Airbrush Legs are irresistible" Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs comes in a slim tall metal canister which is in fact an aerosol. The canister itself is a deep metallic gold colour which features on the front an image of lady's legs obviously very tanned and imperfection free! The Sally Hansen logo is on the front together with the product name and in a white oval shape you will find the shade you have bought - fair, medium and dark. On the back of the canister there is information about the product itself together with how to use it, list of ingredients as well as a few warnings - basically it is all pretty standard information. The canister is completed with a shiny silver plastic top which just snaps on and off. I opt for the fair shade simply because I prefer a more natural look and should I want it to be darker I can just reapply and build the colour. Regardless of which shade you buy it is applied the same. Just take the top off hold a reasonable distance away from you legs and press down on the top and out comes in mist type consistency the fake tan. You will need to blend either with your hand or a tanning mitt as you will find it does streak if not blended. Of course like with any tanning product you do need to take care around your knees and ankles to ensure it has blended evenly but if applying by hand just remember to wash your hand quickly and thoroughly to save the dreaded orange palms! For me I found that the spray is almost quite powdery if that makes sense as once it is on your legs it is nearly dry but it doesn't come out wet at all so you won't find it running down your legs it certainly has a weird feel to it but it stays put and is easy enough to blend and easy to get rid of any streaks should they appear. The difference in colour is certainly quite noticeable and will be highly noticeable should you be pale elsewhere as it will certainly look odd if you have tanned legs and white arms! However, for me being tanned anyway I find that once blended in it enhances my natural tan and gives a normal looking colour rather than tango orange! Sally Hansen claims that it will give a long lasting tan but should you want rid all you need to do is wash it off. I do find this pretty accurate however if you apply and then wear jeans, leggings or any other type of trouser that the material will actually rub the tan off but applying it and wearing trousers would be pretty pointless anyway. However, I have worn shorts and dresses whilst using the Sally Hansen Airbrush legs and it manages to stay put for at least 8 hours before you start to notice the colour fading. As for washing it off it couldn't be simpler as all you need to do is get in the shower or bath and it comes off with a wipe of a sponge. Having said this if you get caught in the rain or you happen to get your legs wet, be prepared to either re-apply or take it off completely as it will go patchy. It does claim to be water resistant but I have to say it isn't completely waterproof, my sister uses the same product and has found it not waterproof either which is a shame. Now I don't have any visible veins or freckles on my legs but I do have two very thin scars (courtesy of my pet rabbit many years ago) which do look like white scratch marks now these don't bother me whatsoever but they are easily covered up by this product which is quite nice as it does over a very smooth looking fake tan with no imperfections noticeable. You certainly do get the legs which you see in magazines where there are no lines, no marks, no wrinkles which in a vein way is actually quite nice. They spray also gives a nice smoothness too obviously if you have freshly shaven/waxed legs of course! The one piece of advise I would highly recommend abiding by is waiting for 1 minute which is the drying time to waiting until you get dressed but I have found that this is sufficient time for it to completely set before getting marks on clothes etc. Overall, I do like this product and I have found it particularly useful over the past few years. Although I don't use it on a regular basis it has certainly come in handy when I have used it. Despite its slightly odd consistency it doesn't have an odd or unpleasant aroma to it and what aroma it does have is incredibly mild and not really that noticeable and once applied there is scent at all especially no fake tan smell which is nice. I can definitely recommend Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs to those wanting a quick fix for a golden glow on their legs. I give this product 4 stars, knocking a star off due to the price which I think is a bit too expensive. ~ Useful Information ~ Brand: Sally Hansen Price: From £9.00 Availability: Supermarkets, pharmacies, online Size: 75ml
THIS IS MY REVIEW OF SALLY HANSEN AS A FAKE TAN AND LEG MAKE-UP TOO... I, unfortunately am one of those girls in the retail industry who may look a little (JUST A LITTLE) bit on the orange side...I am naturally quite medium to light skin toned but if I were to go au-natural I would look poorly, especially in the harsh lighting in the shop. Every woman feels healthier and fresher with the glow of a summers holiday behind them. Add to this the fact that I like to wear my eyes and lips heavily made up, therefore, I do need to warm up the complexion in order to wear the heavier, brighter colours. Once, (maybe twice if we are lucky) a year I will go on my holiday's, specifically to bring back with me the best golden tan I possibly can. This will inevitably fade very quickly, even with the right moisturising products, but in desperation of holding on to that tan for as long as possible, I will jump on the sunbed three times a week. Naughty! Naughty! Needless to say, there does come a point after about 12 weeks when your white bits begin to merge in with the rest of your bits and you really need to fake it...Your skin's been burnt with the tri-weekly use of sunbeds, it needs a rest. You seem to be using lots of minutes and getting nowhere, you have to accept it...the tan's gone. PASTY, PALE AND UNINTERESTING! I just can't accept 'embracing the paleness'. The celebs look amazing with it, my customers all look fab..I just look washed out. Now is the time to resort to the bottle!! I started with the 'wear off' fake tans. After lots of playing around, switching to recommended products and lots of failures, I found out the hard way fake tan isnt my thing. It stinks!! Living alone, it's fine, but when living with a boy its not nice for him to endure. If it does go right, of course it has to be fully developed to be able to determine whether it did go right. At which point it's too late to do anything about. Fake tan has a tendency to dry the skin out, sits patchy in places and sticks in clumps to other dry bits. And it looks horrendous as it fades! The only way it looks good is layered up....and up....and up...and then you can risk looking dirty. BIG FAIL!! I moved over to the 'wash off' market and much prefer this way of doing things. If plans are booked last minute, you just smooth on and you're good to go. There's absolutely no mess and less chance of streakiness as you build your desired colour. Because it washes off straight away, you dont get the patchy look as your skin starts to shred its skin cells. The colour is adaptable, just layer it up for more intensity and play it down for a subtle look. The big downside to this, is the fact they tend not to be as waterproof as they should be. I'd wear it to work and wash my hands and be left with the white bits. Or get rained on during a night out and be left with big splodges. The worst was one night when some silly billy poured his wholke drink down my left side, right at the start of the night...Que the worst looking tan, ALLL NIGHT!! This is where Sally Hansen comes in to play. I've seen this product everywhere, heard so may raves about it but had never been able to play with it. I like to test products at this price before I purchase, and had never drummed up the courage to buy it out right. I had a very important doo coming up and with the lovely weather being typically british (and rainy) needed something for my legs, that wasn't going anywhere. I couldn't wear tights as I had the prettiest of sandals on and didn't want to ruin it. So after 2 years of 'nearly' buying it, I bought it!! Well, in a rush, I just grabbed the product, didn't really look at it, paid for it, walked out the shop and went home to beautify myself for the night...! I will note here, this comes in LOTS of shades, (I now realise), light, medium, tan and dark plus you can choose between matt, glow and shimmer too. I realised, as I sprayed the product onto my mit, the product was quite dark! As I smoothed the silky texture onto my legs it wasn't lightening very much at all...ARRRRGGHHHH! I had bought the dark glow!! eeeek! As instant tanning is the very last thing I do before I leave the house, I couldnt do anything about my faux pas! It wasn't completely horrendous, the colour was rather nice, as though I had been on holiday. I was amazed at how hot my legs looked too. This product had smoothed out the bad bits perfectly, like foundation would, while also giving a great tan!! I just had to somehow even myself out. The product says absolutely nothing about where not to use it...in panic and madness, I quickly smoothed it onto my arms, chest shoulders and back and rushed out the door in the rain. Well what an amazing little product, even in the rain, this product did NOT budge! It gave perfect coverage, smoothing out the bad bits, while giving a great natural tan too! It didnt transfer to clothes too badly and washed off in the bath, (with a bit of a scub). This is alll I will ever use now as my fake tan as its outstood the rest and at £9 it's cheaper than alot of the good fake tans out there. I tend to use a little bit of this every day on the skin on show, and lots on nights out, with it being so dark I dont need much, it lasts ages, about 2 to 3 months on average. Personally I prefer this one over the lighter colours. I bought the golden tan (a shade lighter) once by accident and as much as the colour was perfect for my friend and still ok for me, I had gotten so used to the darker one. Plus, I used the golden tan one much quicker trying to build up colour. Obviously dependent upon what you're after, and the look you want to achieve would determine which of the shades you would opt for. People constantly comment on my tan all the time and especially in the summer, ask where I have been. I still go on the sunbeds but this allows me to minimise the hammering of them. So although this is advertised as leg makeup, I would definately recommend it as instant, waterproof fake tan for all over the body as it works brilliantly. Juts play with the colours and determine the shade thats right for you. Spray straight onto the skin, or to minimise mess on the carpet and walls, spray onto a mitt quite liberally (about a 50ps worth) and spread across a small area. Don't over blend it as this may rub it off, just as your foundation would. I have used it on my face too, mixed in with a touch of foundation!! ha ha! Just to help the colour along a bit!
I never have actually bothered with fake tan before because i cant really afford to keep buying it each month as it is quite expensive depending on which make you prefer but then some different brands still cost over then £10 mark. I was in the pound shop one day and i noticed that they were selling the mini version of the sally hanson airbruch legs for only a pound so i thought i would buy some and give it a go. i brought two of these airbrush legs just incase a rannou half way through one leg as they were only small. The airbrush fake tan can is only small, the same size as a travel size deodrant. the different shades of bronze on the actually can is the smae shade as whats in the can. there are different shades you can buy from dark to medium to light. i brought the light one. As i applied this to my legs it came out realy fast. i found that as it spays out its actually daker than it says but then you do need to rub it in and it dose spread really far. and the colour does look like wat its suposed to. after I finished one leg i noticed i haven't even used half of the tiny can and i was amazed as to how much i had left. When I had finished both legs there was no streaks or blotches and my legs didnt look orange and I had a couPLE of brusies on my legs that were covered and you couldnt see them an there was still loads of tan left in the first can after i had finished. My legs looked really nice and tanned. My friends and family actually thought i was wearing tights. they didnt think for one minute that I had fake tan on my leg. The tan started to wear off after a couple of days. but the i just applied more. I would recommend this fake tan to anyone
Some of you may have read about my recent experiences with fake tan in previous reviews. For those of you who haven't, i'll just say this: Me and fake tan don't work well together. It always either comes out patchy or orange or doesn't work at all. So after my fake tan fiasco in the spring, I was thinking i'd have to be deathly pale all summer, which I really don't want. Then I remembered about this product: Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs. I used it a year or two ago, but not as a fake tan. Last time I bought it in a shade similar to my own skin and used it to cover up thread veins, and this worked kind of like a foundation to cover up imperfections. The difference being, of course, that this is for your body not your face. However, I decided to buy it in a darker shade and use it instead of fake tan. It costs £10.20 from Boots or Superdrug, however Superdrug currently have it on offer for £7.70. It comes in four shades: light glow, medium glow, tan glow and deep glow. I went for the 'tan glow' because I wanted to look tanned but not too much as i'm very pale naturally and didn't want it to look fake. One thing I like about this much more than fake tan is that you can see it as you apply it, so you know where you may have missed a bit. Therefore it is very easy to get even coverage all over. It is easy to apply; simply spray it onto your body and rub it in. I should mention that whilst it is called airbrush legs, I have used it all over my body. It's sort of a cross between foundation for your body, and fake tan. You only have to allow 60 seconds for it to dry before dressing, which is another definite plus over fake tan. However, it can sometimes wipe onto clothing if you're not careful. I am very happy with the overall effect of it as it gives a lovely, natural looking colour. It has a bit of a shimmer to it which is great for a night out but during the day i'd rather not have sparkling skin, so for me this is a disadvantage. It lasts a day or two, or until you wash it off. It comes off very easily in the shower simply by washing as normal. Another disadvantage is that a little bit of it doesn't go very far, so you don't get a lot for your money. If you use it every day, £10.20 will seem a lot for what you get. However if you only use it once in a while it will obviously last longer and won't seem so expensive. Overall, I think this is a great product which I will continue to buy. It can be used either to cover imperfections or as a fake tan. There are a few disadvantages to it, as mentioned earlier in the review but for it's worth it and I would definitely recommend it. Four stars from me.
Many of us know how annoying it is when your fake tan glows streaky whether it be during the day or when you're going out for the evening. If this isn't bad enough, finding the initial product you want to use can be a challenge in itself due to the massively competitive market. I find my legs are one of the most difficult parts of my body to tan and their colour never seems to be in keeping with the rest of my body. At this time of year and over the next few months I will be seeking a sun kissed glow on my legs so I feel confident wearing shorts without having milky pale legs and this product can help me do it. No longer do I have to worry about awful fake tan - I have found my product in Sally Hansen's Airbrush Legs. ** THE BRAND ** Sally Hansen are a cosmetic brand, predominantly specialising in nail care products such as strengtheners, as well as skin, body and lip products. Their products can be found in a variety of shops including Superdrug and Boots and the brand claim to have 'salon professional quality' in their products. ** THIS PRODUCT - AESTHETICS AND CLAIMS ** This is the best product I have used by Sally Hansen - Airbrush Legs. It has been made especially as make up, but for your legs. For me, in this respect it differs in terms of results as fake tan but I will go into more detail later. Boots description of the products says its like 'spraying on tights' and that it leaves legs looking 'gorgeous and feel smooth, soft and sexy'. It has been designed to cover imperfections and enhance your natural skin tone. Apparently it is 'long lasting and transfer resistant'. Could this really get any better? In terms of aesthetics it comes in a tanned colour looking bottle which a picture of a ladies leg in high heels on. It has a silver lid with a spraying mechanism (instead of pouring etc) so its effortless to apply. It comes in three shades which are light, medium and dark. I personally prefer the dark shade as I don't have particularly fair skin and I also have an imperfection at the top of my leg which I am really conscious of so the darker shade, I feel, covers this the best. For the price I have paid I don't think the bottle is particularly big and it can be used up quickly (especially as i have long legs!) if you use a lot of it regularly. It has a smell that is quite powdery/biscuity as others have commented on but I don't mind this too much and I have tried fake tans in the past that smell much worse. ** PRICE AND AVAILABILITY ** This product can be purchased from Boots, Superdrug, other chemist stores as well as some supermarkets. You will also find it online and I believe Amazon sell it for as little as £3 and eBay might also be worth a browse. I have found that the prices dramatically as I have purchased it a number of times from Boots for £10.20 (giving you 40 advantage card points if you have one!) and I have also bought it while on offer. I find that in Boots particularly they aren't generally with the fake tan section, but dotted around the shop on their own 'hanger' which suspends from a shelf and the bottles are all on there but this isn't always obvious so it might be worth asking a member of staff if you can't see it anywhere! I have struggled to find my shade in the past which is the dark shade but I put this down to it perhaps being not as popular as the others but it is always available on Boots website if all else fails. ** APPLYING THE PRODUCT ** I hate applying fake tan especially when a glove is involved and it can be smelly and messy and get all over your hands, clothes and bathroom/bedroom - so annoying. In fact I hate it so much that it often puts me off fake tanning altogether and I go out looking as pale as a milky button. For me this product changed my whole outlook of applying fake tan. This product could not have made it easier for people like me who just don't have the time of patience to mess about with fake tanning products. Because of the spray mechanism on this product, I find it easier to spray it straight onto my legs. I have used a glove in the past which is good but it depends how much coverage you want and as I prefer quite a thick, heavy coverage to hide my imperfection (not caked on, but enough to hide it) I prefer to spray it directly onto my legs and rub it in with my hand and I am doing it to make sure it is all blending. It dries within a minute and because it really is so easy I can't wait to do it again! The only issue with this method of application is that it can stain things around you and I created an orange mark on my carpet around my foot - oops. To avoid this it might be better to spray in an open space (... even outside!) or somewhere that doesn't have much furniture so you won't stain anything. But apart from that, applying it and blending it is so easy as the consistency of the product is so lightweight it doesn't stick to your legs and it is very easy to blend to give you as much of a natural or un natural look as you like. I have only ever used it on my legs but some of my friends have told me it works on their arms and stomach etc too which might be worth a try however I wouldn't use it on your face as you might look a little too sun kissed - I think its a little too strong for that but maybe the lighter shade would be better. ** RESULTS ** As you are applying the product you can see exactly where it is going and so you get a really even coverage looking as natural or as tanned as you like. It gives a really matte and powdery finish which I absolutely love as it really makes my legs look like I have tights on and people often comment on how good they look if I am wearing a dress or skirt. I have never found that it streaks or goes orange either which is great as I know now that I can really trust this product. It is also easy to remove too and exfoliating isn't necessary unless you want too you just need to give your legs a scrub with some soap and it will come off easily. But saying that, if it rains it won't go streaky or come off - it stays put until you get the soap and scrub! It gives a lovely overall smooth finish which is exactly what I was looking for and while the product is lightweight it appears quite thick when it settles on the legs and because of this it hides my imperfection better than I ever could have hoped and no other product I have tried has managed to do that apart from this! ** OVERALL ** I would 100% recommend this product to anyone who is looking a little pale and wants a sun kissed glow whether it be so you can get some shorts on during the next summer months or so you look smooth and tanned up for your next night out. If you have an imperfection or blemish that is getting you down as well, like me, and you can't find a product to hide it then give this a go. It really improved by confidence and I can't thank Sally Hansen enough for finally making a breakthrough product that not only works wonders on the appearance of the legs, but making the fake tanning process and experience a lot more enjoyable!
I normally associated the Sally Hansen brand with hand and nail products prior to seeing this product on the shelves. An innovtive and relatively new way of self tanning! As a majority of us know, acheiving a perfect, streak free tan first time is almoast impossible unless your a professional. However, Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs, takes all of the hassle out of self tanning, and as the packaging says "perfect legs in an instant!". Even though it says the product is for legs, it is perfect for all over body application (apart from the face). Advantages: - This product does indeed give an airbrushed look to skin and is perfect for covering scars, stretch marks and other skin blemishes. - It is easy to apply also, just spray some of the product into your hand (preferably with a latex glove on to avoid pesky orange palms!) and apply evenly on the area you wish to tan. -No time wasted waiting for the tan to dry either, as it dries just 60 seconds after application. - Gives a holiday tanned look in seconds! - Washes off easily. Disadvantages: - Smells quite biscuity, which is a huge giveaway to others that your wearing fake tan, and we all know that the first rule of fake tan is for it to appear natural, and last time I checked, a natural tan dosent smell of Mcvities. - The colour builds up quite quickly, if sprayed directly onto the skin (BIG NO) and depending on the shade(available in light, medium and dark) you buy, the colour can be quite orange.(For me the darker shades tended to go most orange) Again, not the most natural look. - Can be quite powdery, which can then get stuck to your clothes. - As it washes off easily, not great if you get caught in the rain. Streaky chic is never a good look for anyone. - The RRP( is ridiculously expensive for what the product is in my opinion, however you can shop around for the best deal, Amazon sells it for as little as £3! Overall, I would reccomend this product to anyone who would like a quick fix wash off tan.
i swear by this product before a night out. its just like make up but for your legs, it covers every blemish and leaves you with floorless tanned skin. i not only use it on my legs but it can be used on the entire body.. arms, body etc, just not the face! its so quick and easy to apply, you just spray it on and rub it in. it stays on all night long and doesnt come off if you get caught in the rain, though it will easily come off with soap and a scrub. it can look a bit orange so you have to be careful. also it will stain so i wouldnt reccomend using it with white clothing. it is quite cheap at around £10.00 a bottle. i would reccomend it to anyone who is rather pale and looking for a quick and easy tan before a big night out!
About ---> Ok, BRILLIANT product, gets rid of any marks, scars or blemishes and makes you look much browner! I used this product before a night out...wearing a nude skirt...I had to change before leaving as before leaving the door I realized my once nude skirt was now brown...so you really have to be careful with this product! It comes in three shades light, medium and dark. If you just want to not wear tights then get the nearest shade to your skin tone...however I like to look much browner than I am so I always get the medium shade which is really rather brown! I used this product before a night out...wearing a nude skirt...I had to change before leaving as before leaving the door I realized my once nude skirt was now brown...so you really have to be careful with this product! Smells YUMMY!!!!! Price/Where from ------> The cheapest I have found is £4.99 from Cosmetics 4 Less but they are 7.40 from Superdrug. You can purchase this from boots and most cosmetic companies online however you will pay less online. I actually bought some from a market stall the other day for £3.00 - BARGAIN! Was V. happy!! They also sell a cheaper alternative at the pound shop which is Almay...also a spray on tan! Application ---> Literally spray on ...TA DA! I would highly recommend this product!
I love this product! I am lazy and really can't be bothered messing about with messy fake tan before a night out and this was the answer for me! I find the product extremely easy to use, it is literally a case of spraying some onto your hands and rubbing it onto your legs, it is quite a good consistency where you can see what part of your leg is covered and which parts you have missed. (To avoid streaky legs!) I find the cover is really good, I have a scar on my leg and the foundation covers this really well. I also don't find it to be too orange, which I find with a lot of fake tans. One disadvantage I do find with the product is the smell, its not particularly nice smelling! However, I don't notice it after it has dried and never have had any comments about it! The price is also off putting, however as most fake tans are in a similar price range and you do get a number of uses out of it I don't find the price to be a massive problem. The product washes really well the next day, similar to face make up, it is easily removed with soap and water. Overall, I would recommend this product as a good, quick alternative to fake tan.
I've pretty much given up on the fake tan these days, as my skin doesn't seem to agree with most of the brands and its just a little bit too much fuss for me. However, I really do like my legs to have a bit of colour if Im going to be getting them out, which is where this product comes in! Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs is the perfect product for adding a bit of colour and smoothing out every little imperfection. I got my first bottle from Boots, which was around £12 and I'd say that it is worth buying at this price even though it seems a little bit steep, simply because its a really brilliant product. However, Im only a poor student and managed to get my second bottle for about £7 online at Amazon. Bargain! My favourite thing about this product is how simple it is to apply - you just spray it onto your hands and then apply to your legs, although I tend to just spray it straight onto my legs and then rub it in. There is never any streaks, and any white patches can be identified straight away and are really easy to fix. Make sure you shake the can first because I forgot the first time I ever used it, and it came out all runny and a strange colour - thought Id completley wasted my money! But its fine as long as you remember to shake the bottle each time. It dries really quickly, and i love the effect it gives because rather than looking like fake tan, it just makes your legs look absolutley flawless with a slight hint of colour. Of course, if you wanted a bit of a darker coour you can just buy a darker shade, but I get a very natural tone for my skin. It comes in four shades - light, medium, tan and deep glow. The only slight problem i've found is that the bottle is only 75ml, and runs out fairly quickly considering the price of it. I do use 2-3 times a week and its lasted nearly 2 months, so maybe thats not too bad. And at the end of the night, this product is very very easy to wash off. This also helps if you've made some kind of mistake while applying, although I've never really had this problem as it rubs in so easily. Its so quick and easy to use, one of my favourite beauty products!!
Sally Hansen airbrush legs in light glow! With all the cold weather we just want summer to be here but unfortunately we don't all have a Tardis! So an alternative is fake tan. I have always been cautious around fake tan, as you don't want to look like either a zebra or an orange.. or both! But I researched the product online and on the Sally Hansen American site, it has videos of the product being used, and they all seemed good! So i bought the product from Superdrug. The bottle says "covers freckles, veins and imperfections" but I have found this in my case to be untrue. I have a small scar on my knee and the product didn't cover it very well, which was disappointing. But the product worked well on the rest of the area covering it very well with a light healthy glow! Also you don't spray it directly on to your legs, you spray it on to your hands which I found to be a bit odd, and then you have to blend it in evenly with can be really quite difficult, as you have to be really quick because it dries in 60 seconds! It also washes off with shower gel or soap and a cloth really well. And doesn't stain or leave tan lines on your clothes! It is quite expensive in my opinion, considering that it probably isn't the best on the market, but it worked quite well. I bought it for £9.98 from Superdrug - for a 75ml bottle. But if you shop around online you can get it cheaper. Thank you for reading my review, I hope it was helpful! :D
I bought this product a while ago from walmart in american but I think you can buy it here from superdrug and boots, for about £9, although adverts down the side of my page are saying you can get it from amazon for £2.50! I think that £9 is too expensive for this, but at £2.50, its worth getting one and keeping it in your bathroom for emergencies! I have the "Light Glow for Fair Skin Tones" shade and have found that it works well with y skin tone and doesnt look really out of place and is not at all orange - a very good thing. Airbrush legs is an aerosol product which is not really a fake tanner, but it makes your legs look better, have a more even skin tone, hides scars and marks and can generally make you feel more confident and happy about how your legs look. It is basically instead of wearing flesh coloured tights, and it is does work to make you feel better about yourself. I have found that it is quick to apply although it smells a little bit wierd, I think that it smells too chemically and this is a bad point about it, I would prefer something in there at least to try and mask this smell. It applies evenly with little need for rubbing in, and it is also easy to take off. You have to use soap and water it says on the back, but i have found that it just sort of comes off in the shower, with little scrubbing or hard work. Unlike other products similar to this, i have found that it doesnt rub off too easily but it does feel a bit wierd when you feel your legs or when you get a splash of water/similar on it, it does ruin the affect as it makes your legs look a little patchy. I guess you just need to learn to avoid this kind of situation though. My main gripe with this product is that it looks a little too fake. I think your legs look too plain and it makes things like contours less easily to see which can look a bit wrong, i think that this is because the layer applied is thick and too uniform. Somethings I think it is brilliant but a thin layer of tights can be better, or maybe try to apply it from further away to try and get a thinner coating. Airbrush legs is a good product to keep in your cupboard but I think that it is better to buy it online for the price, and it is not the best solution to the pale/patchy leg problem. I think it also needs to be applied on completely hairless legs, or else it just looks completely wrong and it clings to any hairs on your legs, highlighting them.
