I have used various Simple products for many years and have always found them to be very mild and gentle on my skin. I first bought this Simple sun sensitive aftersun a few years ago to go on holiday to Greece and have bought it again several times since. I bought my last tube for £2.59 from Home Bargains which is a good price as the full price is £7.99 but it is currently on offer for £3.99 at Boots.
This tube is a generous 300ml and is mainly white with blue writing and the normal Simple logo in green. It has a pale blue flip top which clicks back firmly after use. The bottle is firm but it is easy enough to squeeze the cream out. The cream itself is white and quite a thick consistency. It doesn't run off my hands when I am applying it to my body but it does absorb into my skin easily with not too much rubbing.
I probably use about three or four squeezes each time which covers all of my body. As the cream in made by Simple and has no colouring or perfumes I also use this on my face as well as my body and find this to have the same effect. My skin instantly feels cool and refreshed and the cream doesn't leave any residue or stickiness. The cream doesn't really have a smell which is another good point for me and it also makes it suitable for all the family.
I use aftersun even if I have been out in the sun for a short while as I think that the sun does affect you and age your skin very quickly. I feel that by using aftersun regularly I am looking after my skin and am helping to restore it back to a good condition. If I am a bit burnt or sore I will sometimes wait for the aftersun to dry and then apply another layer.
It contains aloe vera which helps to restore the skins natural moisture and protects against premature aging, and also camomile which helps to cool the skin. It also contains anti-oxidant rich Sunflower goodness which is supposed to enhance the skins natural defence against the suns rays.
I find that this aftersun really does put the moisture back into my skin and makes it feel soft and healthy. I would recommend this for anyone who likes more gentler products with no perfume or artificial additives. At the price I paid I think it is super value and I definitely would buy it again.
As a family we all have sensitive skins. Both me and the other half have very pale skin with red hair and freckles so it was always going to be inevitable that the little lad would be the same. We have to be very careful in the sun and make sure we all wear adequate sun protection at all times. On the odd occasion we do suffer or have been out too long, we always use an after sun lotion and one of our favourites (though not the best) is simple sun sensitive moisturising aftersun which we buy from lloyds Pharmacy - yes, we do buy stuff other than from Home Bargains, ladies and gents.
This 300ml big fat tube with flip top lid costs us £3.95. It is a good consitency, thick and white and it rubs in well and is absorbed quickly and easily into the skin. It is just as safe to use on the face as it is all over the body as it is very gentle.
It is refreshing and it softens and smoothes our skin and does not leave any stcky mess afterwards. It has been dermatologically tested so we know it is not going to aggrivate our sensitive skins and cause us any bother. It has no perfume or atrificial colours or additives added and it is simply just kind to skins and is suitable for use for all skin types.
The main active ingredient is Aloe Vera which has a calming effect on the skin. We have actually bought large tubes of Aloe Vera Gel and paid a fortune from the Health Food shops, but we have found that this works just as well, if not better, and at a fraction of the cost too.
Simple do a lot of things in their range but this is one of the few I have personally tried although the other half seems to have a rather large collection of various lotions and potions.
This is good stuff and I thoroughly recommend it for after you have been out in the midday sun.

I wouldn't usually include that, except that for once, I genuinely think it describes the product really well.
This aftersun is light, effective, and great for sensitive skin. I've found it soaks in well, and soothes and cools skin brilliantly. I presume this is due to the combination of chamomile and aloe vera or not, but whatever it is it works for me! It spreads fairly easily, and I haven't found it sticky or greasy.
I like the fact that it contains no perfumes and colouring, because as I have really sensitive skin, this is a huge factor in which creams I do and don't, can and can't use. I also think it's generally better for skin not to be subjected to too much artificial substance if we can help it. (But that's only my opinion!)
The lotion leaves my skin feeling soft for hours, although if I'm on holiday, I do like to apply once I'm out of the shower, and then again, usually after dinner and just before I go to bed. Again, I have really sensitive, dry skin, so most people probably wouldn't need to, but I feel it makes a difference, and I like to make sure my skin is as moisturised as possible before more sun exposure the next day!
My only wish really, is that it came in a bigger bottle!
