In this weather we are having at the moment, I like a lot of women at the moment are experiencing problems getting my make up to stay on my face longer than five minutes. However I am not too bothered about wearing make up usually in the day but if I'm going out or out for an evening I do still want to even out my skin tone and brighten myself up a bit!
This was available to me in a couple of colours which were light and deep options and I went for the deep to add a bronze colour to my skin and I paid only £1.00 for several tubes of this in my local Poundland store knowing I was grabbing a complete bargain from a big brand and usually I love Stila products and know this costs around about £25.00 pound a bottle if your lucky enough to find it and the only place I can find it available is online on places like Amazon at the time of writing this review.
This comes in a very basic looking light brown cardboard box and on the front of it and all in black writing we are told that it is Stila Sheer Color 'SPF 15' Tinted Moisturiser and that it is a 50ml sized product and then on the back of the box other information listed includes warnings and ingredients, we are told that once we have opened this to use it up within 24 months, the colour is stated and contact details for Stila are given. The bottle actually appears rather cheap looking considering it such a high priced and well branded product and is simply a light grey plastic bottle with a twist on/off lid to the bottom of it and on the front of it again in black writing we are told what it is, the size is stated as are once again the ingredients and the colour and finally contact details for Stila are listed. Functional the packaging is but nothing special.
Well you can apply this to a clean face and that's that and it adds a little colour to the skin and a slight sheen which obviously comes from the moisturiser within this or you can use it in place of a foundation and add other make up to it if you prefer.
The liquid is rather runny and at first I was concerned at the rather orangy/brown colour of this even though it is referred to as a deep shade however I dot this around my face and it gently blends in easily and like I say gives a slight sheen but not in a greasy way to my skin. Its simply so easy to apply and to remove it with your usual make up routine and I love that about this product.
This holds no fragrance to my nasal passages at all and once on the skin it does seem to even out my skintone really well and feels really light on an I can even forget about it. My skin does feel very gently moisturised and even if I do sweat and this comes off like most make up does in this heat you can't see the colour oozing or anything like that from my face thankfully!
This hasn't upset my sensitive skin at all and in fact not only when this is on my face but also when it isn't I have noticed my skin feels and looks better in general!
A little of this goes a very long way indeed but really this is only ok for people who need a very light coverage and not looking to hide spots and imperfections really. I do feel more confident with it on and it gives my face a very natural look so all in all its a great summer essential in my opinion as containing an SPF of 15 I know that it helps to protect my skin from the elements too so i'm glad I bought a few tubes of this on the cheap when I did!
Google if interested.

Stila Sheer colour tinted moisturiser spf 30 oil free
I have wanted to try this product for a while and I have super super dry skin and I can't wear any other foundation than tinted moisturiser - event though I need more coverage. I have tried three tinted moisturisers and I am not undecided about this one still.
*About the product*
It comes in a brown thin cardboard box which looks quite cute and it can obviously be recycled which is great! There are various shades and they do look a bit similar on the internet and I have the shade which I think is the lightest but I am not sure, I have shade 01 light. The product is made by an American brand and it is made in the US. The bottle contains 50ml or 1.7 us fl oz of the product.
ctinoxate 7.5%, Zinc oxide 5.0%, Oxybenzone 4.0% Inactive Ingredients: purified water (aqua), diethylhexyl carbonate, diisostearoyl polyglyceryl-3 dimer dilinoleate, peg-12 dimethicone, cyclopentasiloxane, magnesium sulfate, cetyl dimethicone, beeswax (cera alba), microcrystalline wax (cera microcristallina), polyglyceryl-4 isostearate, hexyl laurate, cetyl peg/ppg- 10/1 dimethicone, triethoxycaprylylsilane, poterium officinale (burnet) root extract, cinnamomum cassia (cinnamon) bark extract, zingiber officinale (ginger) root extract, silk amino acids, glycerin, salix alba (willow) bark extract, butylene glycol, isopropyl titanium triisostearate, phenoxyethanol, chlorphenesin, methylparaben, benzoic acid, may contain (+/-) titanium dioxide (ci 77891), iron oxides (ci 77491, ci 77492, ci 77499)
The active ingredients in this product is the octinoxate 7.5%, the zinc oxide 5% and the oxbenzone 4% - these are all for the sunscreen protection. And as you can see from the not so short list of ingredients that it does actually contain some natural ingredients such as willow bark, cinnamon bark, ginger rot extract and also beeswax. The willow bark is also supposed to absorb the skin excess oil and the silk amino acid are included to moisturise your skin.
*My opinion of the product*
I have shade 01 light and I thought it would be a good match for my skin as on the pricture online it showed it as really light and also a cool toned colour - which is perfect for my skin as it has quite a lot of redness in it. Although when it arrived and I tried it on the back of my hand I was a bit surprised at how orange the colour is! From past experience with tinted moisturisers I now know not to panic when the colour is not great as with tinted moisturisers they blend so easy so if the shade is a bit off then it does not really matter too much.
I don't usually have to apply a tinted moisturiser with more of my own face moisturiser but with this one I had too, so it is not a moisturising as the ones that I have already been using. I mixed it with a small amount of my simple face moisturiser
*If you are going to mix it with your normal moisturiser I suggest that you pick a light textured one as I found out this morning when trying the tinted moisturiser out with heavy moisturiser. It does not work well with heavy moisturisers - it just looks greasy and heavy*
I find that with all tinted moisturisers I have to blend them quite well otherwise it can look streaky and not natural, so with all of them I have to blend well and with this one I would say that it blends well. It is a similar texture to the elf tinted moisturiser (a bit similar in colour too, but this one is lighter) and it works well.
I find that it does cover most of my imperfections, such as small spots and redness. It is not really great at covering my redness but it does reduce it and it is really fantastic at covering dark circles! I just love how it almost completely covers my dark circles, it is quite brightening as well which is great.
I also have quite sensitive skin and it has been getting quite a lot worse over the past week but this product does not irritate my skin at all and it is super sensitive at the moment. It does cover quite well although not fully. It says on the stila US site that it has medium coverage, I would not say that, I think it has light/medium coverage but tinted moisturisers are not supposed to have fully coverage abilities.
I like the results from this product, the coverage is light to medium, it covers my dark circles really really well, it is not heavy on my skin, it makes my skin look healthy and natural. I like that these products allows your own skin to show though as I don't like products that when applied look like you have a layer of cake icing on your face.
In my opinion there are only two downsides to this product the first is that it is not as moisturising as other product of a similar nature that I have used. I have to mix this product with a bit of my normal face moisturiser to make sure that when I apply this product it does not make my skin look flaky and dry. The second is that the shade is a bit too orange but when blended it look better and it is good match for my pale skin - especially when mix with the white moisturiser - Although I still have not found a product that is a really good match for my pale skin unfortunately.
*Price and Availability*
I bought this product from amazon and in total I think it cost me £6-7 which is a good price as on the American Stila site it costs $36 but it has now been reduced to $17. There are only four shades available and on the amazon site the shade representation is not accurate at all - so I hope my photograph helps. It can be bought from amazon, Debenhams for £10.58, cheap smells and look fantastic for £22.
*Easy to blend and apply
*Good colour (although a little bit too orange)
*Oil free, contains some natural ingredients, contains spf 30
*Light/medium coverage - covers most of my inperfections
*Leaves my skin feeling soft, smooth, more even, healthy
*Does not leave my skin greasy (unless you use a heavy moisturiser under it, like I did this morning - a big mistake!)
*It also does not feel heavy on my skin
*It can be bought for a good price from amazon and cheap smells - although it is really expensive in other sites/stores such as lookfantastic.co.uk in which it is priced at £22
*Does not irritate my skin
*they also make other products like this, such as an illuminating version
*A good match for my skin but it is quite orange
*I needed to put a moisturiser with it - as it was not moisturising enough for my skin
*Expensive in some stores/sites
