“ Brand: Giorgio Armani / Type: Casual „
I can't get by without sunglasses in the sun. i have fairly sensitive eyes and so cheap non branded ones aren't good enough. I got these sunglasses from T K Maxx a couple of years ago and I really like them because they do an excellent job and they are quite hard wearing.
The glasses are fairly small and I wouldn't really class them as being fashion forward because they are simple in design rather than being the big trendy things that you see the likes of Victoria Beckham wearing. This is not a fault though if you ask me because I think it takes a certain kind of person or a certain face shape to be able to pull off huge glasses and I am neither that person nor do I have that face shape. They are quite traditional in looks and simple in design. The frame around the eye is only small and they look almost like reading glasses in style. The lenses are about an inch and a half high by two inches wide and the frames are fairly thin. This is one of the reasons why I like them because they really suit my face and they don't drown my features.
The lenses are quite dark so that they keep out the sun but not so dark that you can't see anything through them. I find that this means that it doesn't change the colour of things you are looking at too much and more that they give everything a slightly grayer look. This is particularly good when I'm driving with them on as I find that they don't obstruct my vision at all.
They fit really comfortably and I find that they are quite snug. This is especially great when I am on holiday and I have sun cream on because I don't find them sliding off like other looser fitting ones have done in the past. When it comes to wearing sun cream I also find that when you get smears on the lenses they are really easy to clean off. The glasses come with a little cloth that works really well without much effort, even on greasy sun cream and oils.
The glasses have good UV protection and I have never had any problems with my eyes when I am wearing them. I also find that because the frames are so thin, you don't get massive obvious tan lines when you are wearing them so I am not inclined to take them off during the day for fear of big white stripes on my face.
They aren't flimsy either, despite their thinness. They feel quite strong and they have not become out of shape at all I have dropped them a fair few times over the years as well and they still look as good as new. I don't know if the lenses are scratch proof, but mine have no scratches at all on them, despite my clumsy nature!
I got them, like I said, from T K Maxx and they cost about £30 which is very good value for money considering how much use I get out of them. I don't know if they are still available there, but you can get them online for around the £75 mark which is obviously much more expensive, but not excessive for designer sunglasses that are well made and do a good job. Recommended.
