“ Sanrio / Glasses case has metal hinge and handbag style carrying straps. „
My Daughter recently turned 7 and one of the gifts she received was the Hello Kitty sunglasses and case from her friend.
What is it?
Well the picture at the top is very true to life the case is a hard case which is very important for children as this has been already dropped a few times and the glasses have been fine and whilst I do not recommend dropping the case it is good to know that it you do it can withstand this the case also has plastic handles which make it look like a handbag .
The Glasses, are metal framed which of course is pink and they have hearts on them super girly and are aviator style, these glasses do conform to safety standards so are also a useful item as well as being decorative obviously we haven't put them to the test in the sun yet having just received them!
Cost and stockist:
These were a present for my daughter however should you wish to get a pair then these can be purchased from Claire's Accessories and I believe these are around £10.00 they do stock these every summer season the design changes a little ours has pink handles with a white case with polka dot spots and a hello kitty face.
These are cute the glasses are excellent in the words of my seven year old and the little girl who gave them as a gift is my very bestest friend! I am pleasantly surprised as how strong the case is and how roomy it is indeed I may have to get one for my glasses.
I really think these are a must for any self respecting Hello Kitty fan!
~A cute little case for your sunglasses~
Most of the sunglasses that I own and wear came with their own storage cases which make it really easy for me to store them in without fear of them becoming scratched or broken. I bought a pair of sunglasses in the sale last year that had been greatly reduced due to the fact that the case was missing, so I bought one of the Hello Kitty handbag style cases to use with them. I was firstly attracted to the super cute and bright look of the case, although to be honest I wasn't sure whether I liked the little handles on each side of the case as I thought I might end up catching them and knocking the contents of the case out by accident. Happily this has not happened when using the case, although these can catch on things when placed in to a handbag which can be a little annoying at times.
~Price/ options/ durability~
The cost of my little Hello Kitty case was just £4 as I bought it at a local market that had all kinds of fashion items for sale. Having looked at more recent prices it seems that I didn't do too badly at all as these seem to be selling at around £4 to £7 each now depending on the colour option. These cases come in either bright read or bright pink and whilst they both look super cute and cheery I prefer the red option which is what I went for. The cute Hello Kitty design shown on the case hasn't faded at all which I am pleased about and although the outer material has had a few knocks and bumps after being put in to a bag and carried around, I feel this is no more damage than I would expect with repeated use.
The case being a hard shelled type offers much better protection for sunglasses than the soft style cases that you can buy and in my opinion these Hello Kitty hard cases offer a good level of protection for sunglasses of a variety of styles. As with any form of hard case you do need to take the glasses that you want to store with you when picking out a hard case, as I have found that some styles of fashion sunglasses are much larger and harder to find a case for than slimmer, smaller styles. The sunglasses I have had in use with this case are quite slim compared to some that I wear and they seem to fit in to this case quite well, with it closing down over them easily, which I am pleased about.
Over time the case has worn quite well and the metal hinges on the case have performed as they should, with the case still closing shut as it ought to. The slim handbag style handles are firmly attached to the main body of the case and they have stayed put well enough, although I feel that I would have liked the case more had the handles not been present. As mentioned the handles can and do end up getting caught on things in my bag from time to time, so that when I want to take out the case I often end up fishing out another item at the same time. Other than that I haven't had any issues with the case at all and my rating for the case is 3 stars, having deducted 1 star due to the slight issue with the handles.
I bought this because I am obsessed with hello kitty. And I must say I am pleasantly surprised with the quality. Its pink and glossy and the hello kitty is a sticker that seems to have been laqured over and the inside is a purple-pink softness. I bought this to fit my normal glasses and too my delight I found the box is actually big enough to fit my vintage styled prescription sunglasses (which I had to use an ugly case for before because there odd shaped frames are awkward to fit in conventional cases.) which I really didn't expect considering I bought it from a kiddie section. I've had the case for about two years now and the kitty face has only just started to become distorted, it got a little scratch in it which was unfortunate. But since it is my sunglasses case it's been thrown around in draws, in suitcases and bags as I've travelled and wandered around. I am extremely pleased with this case and would defiantly recommend it even if you aren't a fan of hello kitty! It's lasted longer than all my other cases and I am so surprised because I only bought it because it was cute!
(I just noticed that the product name should say and... Glasses... Case lol)
My god-daughter got me this glasses case for my birthday. Well what actually happened according to her Mummy was that she picked it up in the shop and wouldn't put it down again. Since she doesn't wear glasses or sunglasses, her Mummy told her it would be a good present for Aunty Nat.
The glasses case is made from a hard material, and is bright pink in colour. There is a picture of Hello Kitty with a pink flower in her hair, it says "Hello Kitty" under the picture. The case has two handles on it like a handbag which makes it unique to other cases I have seen. Once opened the case has a softer pink velour lining. When you close the case it shuts with a satisfying "snap". The exterior of the case is a plasticky texture and can be wiped clean if necessary.
The case measured the same size as the one which originally came with my glasses, but the handles obviously add to the size overall. Being a fan of Hello Kitty I do like the design of this case, especially the bright pink as it's one of my favourite colours. However I don't really like the handles on it, I don't use them for anything although they do come in handy for opening it. I feel as if they make the case seem a bit childish, yes I know it has a picture of Hello Kitty on it but I could always turn it upside down on my desk at work if I wanted to hide it.
One thing I have noticed about this case is that the velour lining is becoming unstuck from the main body of the case. This is quite disappointing as I don't actually use it that much, I only wear my glasses when I'm driving or at work, considering I work a four on four off shift system and don't really drive much apart from travelling to and from work I'm only probably using it half of the year. I got the case in April so just six months ago, which means it's only really been used for three of those months - when I'm at home my glasses tend to live in the case until my four days off are over. I don't think this is particularly great quality.
Just a word of warning if you are considering buying this for a little girl, as I mentioned earlier it does shut with a snap so little fingers may get trapped in this.
As this was a gift I'm not exactly sure how much it cost but looking at them online it seems to be around £5.
