Advantages: protect well, good size

Disadvantages: none other than the Peppa Pig for me!

Anyone who knows me will know how much I hate Peppa Pig! Everything about it rubs me up the wrong way and so I was a little horrified when my mum came home from shopping one day with a pair of Peppa Pig sunglasses for my daughter. Why she bought them when my daughter already has a pair of Minnie Mouse and Hello Kitty ones I do not know but as they were new she took to wearing them all the time, even round the house!

The Peppa Pig sunglasses come with minimal packaging as they are set on a thin strip of cardboard which features the familiar Peppa Pig detail. In order to remove the packaging you will need some scissors as they are fastened on with one of those thin plastic ties which are very hard to break with just your fingers! On one of the lenses you will find a small sticker which states the sunglasses are UV protected which gives you peace of mind knowing that your little ones eyes are going to be protected. Removing this sticker is very easy and it peels off leaving no residue.

The sunglasses are typically little girl sunglasses, predominantly pale pink in colour with deeper pink spots covering the arms. The glasses are quite chunky and of a rectangular shape rather than circular which makes sure the eyes are covered very well. On one arm there is a small picture of Peppa Pig and on the opposite arm the Peppa logo is written in a blue font. The arms are quite wide in comparison to some of the other childrens sunglasses I have seen but my daughter did find this a little irritating and seems to prefer a thinner version. The lenses are really quite dark which again means they are giving good protection from the sun but they aren't too dark in my opinion.

My daughter decided to take these sunglasses with us on our mini break last week (much to my dismay!) and there was plenty of sun so she wore them all the time we were in the car and walking outside and not once did she complain the sun was affecting her eyes so I knew that she was well protected by these glasses. The fit of the glasses was very good, and comfortable (apart from the arms bugging her a little) but this shows they are suitable for a good age range as my daughters friend who is two "borrowed" them a few times and they fit her well too.

The sunglasses do seem well made and are quite a tough plastic however my daughter (like any other child) just dropped them on the floor after taking them off and her grandad stood on them and broke them! I didn't replace them, not just down to the fact they are Peppa Pig but my daughter prefers the thinner arms so she is now back to her Minnie Mouse ones!

You can find the Peppa Pig sunglasses at Asda for £4.00 and I think that is a standard price for branded childrens sunglasses and I would say for the protection they provide that is reasonable value. I would recommend the Peppa Pig sunglasses for any little Peppa fan, they protect well and little girls will love them!

Thank you for reading my review.

Summary: Good sunglasses
