Peppa Pig Sunglasses
Advantages: Well made for a bit of television merchandising....
Disadvantages: Do get dirty fairly quickly, don't come with a case
Peppa Pig is an extremely popular television show currently being shown on Channel 5 that has spawned a whole host of merchandising in its wake. There is even a Peppa Pig World located at the Paultons Park Theme Park! So it should come as no surprise that you can even now buy sunglasses inspired by the characters on the show.
These sunglasses are surprisingly well made for something that is essentially just a way of squeezing more money out of the show. The frames are made of a light plastic that is fairly flexible and will take a little bit of abuse which is handy as we all know how rough and careless children can be with their stuff at times and pink in colour meaning they are probably best suited for a girl.
Though the lenses on this illustration are dark, the ones bought from our local Asda are pink to match the frame giving everything a rose-coloured tint. That said, they are still tinted dark enough to block out the suns harsh glare and provide UV protection to your childs eyes!
My daughter loves these and always insists on wearing hers even when there is only a little bit of sun. I am not sure how much they cost as they were a gift from her Nanny but a previous reviewer has mentined them being around the £7 mark and that sounds about right.
Other similar inspired sunglasses based on this and other popular television characters are available from all of the big three supermarkets and all are a similar price. These though were always going to be my daughters favourites because she absolutely loves Peppa Pig!
Summary: A great product inspired by the legend that is Peppa Pig!
