      Yummy Sweeties From Asda

      We've been eating loads of sweets from Asda over Xmas but my faves have deffo been these Ice Cream Sundaes. They are 38p a bag but are on special offer all the time where you can buy 3 bags for £1.00.

      They are foam sweets that are shaped like ice cream cones, the colour of the ice cream on top of the cone tells you what flavour the sweet is going to be.

      The brown ice cream is chocolate, the pink ice cream is strawberry and I think the yellow creamy ice cream is banana flavour but I'm not 100% on that one. They all taste proper nice, I'm not mad keen on the chocolate on but that's only because I don't like chocolate flavoured sweets much unless it's actually the real brown stuff! lol

      The sweets are made of foam and even though I don't usually eat a lot of foam sweets I do find the texture of these proper nice because they are lovely and chewy. I love how the whole sweet tastes of the flavour it's supposed to, it's mad because I was expecting just the top 'ice cream' bit to have the flavour but it goes all the way down the sweet.

      The strawberry one is my fave because it's so sweet and natural tasting. I wouldn't say it tasted like a real strawberry but it's deffo more natural than other strawberry sweets I've had recently, it's like a cross between a strawberry Starburst and a real strawberry. Yummy!

      I think these sweets are great and so does everyone else in the house, I thought they was going to have a cheap taste because to be honest they do look a bit tacky but they actually taste like they're worth more than 38p a bag! I like them because they're a bit different from the sweets I usually buy, it's not the sort of thing I'd eat all the time but at least now I've tried them I can grab a bag whenever I'm bored of chocolate or jelly sweeties.

        A sweet I'll definitely buy again

        Deciding to settle down and watch a film last night my brother and me decided to share some Asda sweets and one of the bags that we chose were Asda's Ice Cream Sundaes. These sweets come in a 75g bag and cost 36p but can like all of Asda's children's sweet be bought on offer, 3 bags for £1.

        The Ice Cream Sundaes come in a baby blue packet that has a picture of three ice cream sundaes on the front on the name "Ice Cream Sundaes" in dark blue writing. The front of the pack also tells you that the sweets contain no artificial colours or flavours. The back of the packet contains all the nutritional information you could need - I'll deal with this later.

        On opening the bag you are immediately greeted with a very pleasant fruity smell. This smell is rather inviting and certainly made me want to delve into the sweets contained within. The bag, unlike some better-known brands, is quite full and upon counting (I know I'm sad) contained 28 Ice Cream Sundaes.

        Each sweet is shaped like an ice cream sundae with a yellow/orange cone and brown, pink or pale yellow ice cream. They are made out of a soft and chewy foam type substance, which also has a fruity taste. Depending on the colour of the ice cream each sweet has a different taste. The brown ones taste of chocolate, the pink ones of strawberry and the pale yellow one of pineapple (I think). In my opinion the pink ones are the nicest as these are the most refreshing and the chocolate flavoured ones are my least favourite although I'm not perfectly sure why.

        ~~~~~~Nutritional Information~~~~~
        100g contains
        - 343 calories
        - 4.3g Protein
        - 81.0g Carbohydrate
        - 72.2g Carbohydrate of which sugars
        - 0.2g Fat
        As you can see they aren't particularly healthy but then again who looks for healthy when they are buying a sweet, especially not one as cheap as these.
        These sweets are obviously purchased from Asda and are definitely something I will buy again. They are perfect for slipping in your bag to take to the cinema or for watching a film at home. Furthermore they are great for those grandparents who have sweetie jars.
        All in all therefore I think this sweets are brilliant. They taste great, cost very little and don't contain any artificial nastiness. Better still they are perfect for people of all ages who fancy a little bit of sweetness that doesn't cost the earth.
