“ Brand: Asda / Type: Candy „
I am a big kid and love kids things, like toys and sweets.
Asda Kids Mix is available in a 95g bag and is only available at Asda storess or online at www.asda.com. Located in the confectionery aisle this small bag of sweet goodness is bright yellow with funky coloured letting on, making it easily identifiable. Each bag is around 38p and can also be bought on a 3 for £1.00 offer, which is how I acquired them!
Tearing open the bag was not actually that easy, certainly would be a difficult task for a small child (which is not necessarily a bad thing). I am met immediately by an overwhelming sweet smell, predominantly of artifical strawberry.
Within the bag is a varierty of jelly and foam sweets in reds, yellows and greens. There are around 25 in each bag (there were 25 in mine anyway). So, these work out at a little over a penny a sweet and all contained in a handy little packet.
The typical values per 100g (bear in mind a packet is 95g)

Each sweet being approx 18 calories.
It was hard for me not to eat the whole pack, even though these sweets do feel really childish and I know they are full of rubbish. I will probably TRY not to put them in my basket again. Might be better for KIDS, as that is who they are targetted at anyway
A week after returning from Belgium and the day before I head of to Italy for a family holiday I'm still staring down a pile of empty sweet packets on my desk waiting for reviews to be written and so I thought it was high time I actually sat down and wrote some of them; top of the pile Asda's Kid's Mix.
Asda's Kid's Mix costs 38p a bag but like all the other Asda sweets I have reviewed can be purchased on offer "Any 3 for £1". The bag itself is very eye-catching; it is bright yellow in colour and has Kid's Mix written prominently on the front in large multicoloured letters. The front of the bag also tells me that the bag contains assorted fruit flavour gum and foam sweets and that the Asda brand contains no artificial colours or flavours. Turning the bag over I am made aware that the pack contains 95g of sweets as well as given storage information, ingredients and nutritional information.
When you open the bag a rather powerful fruit smell immediately hits you and certainly made me want to dig right in. The bag itself is quite full of sweets and upon counting them contains 25 sweets - rather reasonable in my opinion. The sweets themselves vary in shape and size and include boats, dolphins, flowers and sports equipment.
Now as the front of the bag suggests the sweets included in the bag are not all the same as some are foam sweets and others gum sweets. Now quite partial to both types and so this bag was certainly a treat for me. The foam sweets were really creamy as well as fruity at the same time, whilst the gum sweets were chewy and sweet as well as being fruity. The flavours themselves varied from strawberry and raspberry to lemon, lime and cola, which made for an entertaining mix.
Nutritionally the sweets fair like the majority of Asda's kid's sweets - not too badly.

All in all therefore I can certainly see these sweets being popular with children due to the variety contained within the bag. Parents will also love them due to their small price tag and the decent nutritional values. On the whole therefore I have to say that these sweets are again one that I would highly recommend, as once again they are another Asda sweet I highly enjoyed.
