The 'flumps' bar is something I buy often at this time of year because it is a nice stocking filler for the young kids I do stockings for. This year I had two spare Flumps and as it had been a long time since I had eaten one I decided to try it again and this is my review of the Flumps.

The Flumps bar is a large marshmallow that is about the same size as a bar of chocolate. The marshmallow is twisted like a plait. It is very light and fluffy to look at. Because the Flumps bar is made of marshmallow it means it is light to hold to so it means it is ideal to give to little ones as they do not seem to drop sweets that are lighter to carry.

The packaging is a nice pastel coloured wrapper in yellow and pink and it is quite eye catching and stands out on the shelf in the store. The packaging says that the Flump bar has natural flavours and colours which is good as some people do not like to give sweets with artificial colours to young kids.

The packaging says that the Flumps bar has gelatine in it so would not do for vegetarians or vegans.

The taste of the Flumps bar is very sweet just like normal marshmallows. I do not think it is over powering or sickly. The bar is nice and light to eat because of the fluffy feeling it has when I am eating it. The bar only has 50 calories in it so it might be good if I was on the weight watchers diet as I could count the Flumps bar up in my points allowance.

I thought the taste of the Flumps bar was nice but I do not know if I would go out of my way to buy it. I think I prefer something with a bit more bite to it or I would rather have a bar of chocolate to satisfy me if I am looking for a sweet snack.

If I was watching my weight though or if I was baby sitting then I would buy in some of these as they are good for little ones and I like how they have a low calorie content so would not spoil my diet.

I have seen the Flumps bars in supermarkets and news agent shops and I got mine from my local Co-Operative supermarket. I paid around 15 pence for each of the bars and they are a popular treat with young kids so would suggest giving them a try for young ones but adults might need more bite!
