Advantages: They taste yummy

Disadvantages: Dont leave them anywhere warm

Haribo Stripes from the Haibo range of which I am naturally a fan. These cost me just over a £1 from Sainsburys but no doubt you can get them from most Supermarkets and maybe a little cheaper. These little bundles of stripes are an absoulte joy.

They are sold in one big bag (weighing in at 180 grams per bag) and then they have little striped bars that are individually wrapped inside. This is ideal for some people because they can snack on one or two without having to demolish the whole bag for fear of them going off.

The five flavours are Strawberry, Orange, Cherry, Rasberry and Apple all of which are very nice but beware they are quite sweet. The ingredients are sugar, glucose syrup, vegetable oil, humectant, gelatine, citric acids and flavourings. They do however promote that they have no artificial colourings.

There are 394 calories as well as 1 gram of protein, 83.7 grams of carbohydrates and 6.4 grams of fat. These are all per 100 gram measures.

The sweets themselves taste delicious. All of the flavours actually taste like they should (example Cherry actually tastes like cherry). They are quite soft and chewy as opposed to being hard and crunchy (which was what I thought they would be when I first saw them).

One word of warning though, don't whatever you do leave them anywhere warm for too long (like the car) because you will end up having a fight trying to get them unwrapped as they become sticky and unedible.

All in all good value for money and a tasty treat

Summary: Good value
