      Quality fudge that's definitely recommended

I love the smell and taste of fudge, though some brands can be quite expensive for what you actually get in the box/bag. I came across Morrisons own make last year, and thought I'd add it on here because I think they're just as good as branded versions, but at a better price.

These come in a 195g blue striped plastic bag and can be found hanging amongst the other sweets and choccies in Morrisons. On the front of the bag is a tempting image of fudge, though the quality of the packaging isn't the best and wouldn't be suitable to give as a present. This, however, means you're paying for what's inside rather than pretty wrappers or a brand name.

At 68p a bag, I think these are a good price as you get quite a lot in there! Each fudge piece is slightly rectangular, individually wrapped, and of a good size & thickness. You can see some slight ridges in the top of the fudge, and although they look quite chunky, they're soft enough to bite into if you want to be delicate and not shove the whole thing in your mouth.

These have a distinctive taste; sweet and rich fudge that has no funny smell or aftertaste, unlike some supermarket own brands of fudge and toffees that I've tried. These rival the bigger brands because in my opinion, they're just as tasty!

The texture is quite soft and smooth, so they melt in your mouth fairly well as the flavour intensifies. The fudge has a quality feel to it and so there's nothing negative I can say about these in terms of flavour or texture.

As you'd expect with fudge, these are quite sweet, so eating more than half the bag would be quite sickly as there really are quite a lot in here for just under 70p. They're great to snack on or take out with you because of them being individually wrapped, and they're full of flavour so they make a good pick-me-up.

According to the packet, these contain no artificial colours or flavours, which is always good to know. ¼ of the bag contains 210 calories and 5.2g fat, so they're not the healthiest of snacks. None the less, I think they're worth the extra calories because they really do taste smooth, creamy and sweet, just as you'd expect from high quality fudge.

Overall I would definitely recommend these as they seem to tick all the boxes for me. Although not suitable for giving to someone as a present because of the packaging, these are delicious, chunky rectangular fudge cuboids that are hard to resist! Yum!
