      Lovely snack

I first bought this licorice after seeing a work colleague munch her way through on in the office and asking her what it was. After she gave me a tast of her I decided to go down to the shop where she bought it from and get one for myself. The Look When you peel back the wrapping, the log itself looks smooth and quite shiny, and is a natural reddish colour. The Texture When you bit into the licorice, it has quite a dense, thick texture. It feels quite substantial and is not too sweet. Its lovely to eat - it is surprisingly juicy and takes quite a while to chew. It feels smooth and quite soft in your mouth. The Taste None of that typical licorice that many people don't like, this has a real raspberry flavour that is not too strong but very clear. It is very fruity and natural tasting, but refreshingly it is not too sweet at all, and doesn't taste sugary. It tastes really natural, not artificial or loaded with sugar. The Nutrition The nutrition for a 40g bar is as follows: 136kcals Sat Fat - 0.16g Carbs - 30.6g So 7% RDA of calories, 1% saturated fat and 10% carbs - not too bad at all. The Price I guess prices will vary between independent retailers but a bar cost 69p from my local fruit and veg shop.
