Tesco Teeth and Lips
Advantages: Strawberry teeth
Disadvantages: Bit hard, better sweets available
I live just down the road from a Tesco Express so often do my mini shop there instead of a corner shop chain. I had just come back from the store when I decided to see if I was able to do a review on the sweets I bought. These sweets are of course Tesco Teeth and Lips which are available in a 3 for £1 deal which is a saving of 11p as they come in at 37p per pack. I often look for the deals as you can pick up some great savings on things you may not usually buy if they were not placed there in an offer.
**Teeth and Lips**
These two are both very popular sweets and can be found in many different selections for instance they are found in various pick and mix selections as well as on their own in these kind of bags. These bags have a small see through window at the bottom which shows what the sweets look like. They are red lips and white teeth with pink gums. Opening the bag you see all the sweets jammed together and sometimes they can stick together if they are too squashed but they are easy to break apart.
Now to the all important taste test. Upon putting these sweets in your mouth and taking the first bite you instantly get the strawberry flavour of each of the sweets. There is a little difference between the two tastes. I prefer the taste of the teeth sweets to the lips as they just have a lighter strawberry taste and the lips can be a little sickly in comparison and I find them a little bit hard too which can be annoying when you try them for the first time like I have done today.
**How do they fare?**
Comparing these to other sweets it's clear that these are not the nicest I have ever tasted but they are certainly not the worst either. They are similar to Haribo and for me there is no comparison as I find Haribo to be much better. These are not bad though and will satisfy you for a lot less money for a similar amount of sweets. Having said that I would still pay a little more if I knew I was getting the better quality sweets.
These are tasty sweets which come in at 85 calories per quarter pack but the combination of finding the lips a bit hard and the taste of other sweets on the market I conclude that these are a decently priced treat but there are better options from the likes of Haribo and also some of the other sweets from Tesco as well. I hope you have enjoyed my review. Why not try these and do your own review on what you thought of them.
