When you're building a PC you want your PC to look very good too. Computer Cases come in all shapes, sizes and colours. Most importantly is the quality and optimal cooling of the case. The Antec 902 full tower is a suitable choice because in design and quality it's very good.
When purchasing this you will get the following:
* Antec 902 case
* Floppy Drive Front Plate
* Packet of screws
The case has the following internal components:
+ 4 x 120 mm Coolers
+ 1 x 200 mm Cooler
+ 2 x Case loaders (square boxes where max 4 hard drives can be connected.)
+ 3 x spaces for DVD / blue ray drives.
+ Front panel with 2 USB ports, a SATA connection, a FireWire port and audio connection for headphones.
+ 3 x Filters
The Antec 902 case is one of the best cases you can find on the market. Not only is this relatively affordable, but its design and functionality, keeps the hardware components cool and clean. The coolers in the case are installed in a way that air from the front of the case will be sucked to the back and get blown out. At the front of the case are also filters to protect the case against dirt and dust. You can adjust the speed of the coolers. At the back you will find a number of switches to control the coolers.
This is a really cool invention. Because of these removable loaders you can easily install hard disks without any hassle. There are also filters in these loaders which can be easily removed and cleaned. This makes keeping the case clean a lot easier.
Drives and power
At the top you have three spaces for installing drives such as a DVD player. The front plates are easily removed and the drives are easily been placed. At the bottom of the case there is room for the installation of the power. Because of the filters the cooling is well protected.
As the only downside is that the motherboard plate is not removable. This is the panel where the motherboard is attached too. It makes installing the processor and other components a little harder but not impossible.
The left side plate is see trough so you can look in the case. The plate has a central perforation where a filter is mounted where an extra cooler can be installed. This filter can also be removed for maintenance.
This case is perfect. The case costs approximately between 100-110 pounds. If this case is too small you have the option to choose the Antec 1200 which is larger. This case was perfect for me because I'm not that much a computer wizard but (with some help) I could easily put this one together and keep it clean. I half this one around a year now and it's working perfect.
This is an adaptation of the antec 900 case, which was extremely popular and very well reviewed, but suffered some vital flaws, which have been corrected in this case. it should also be noted this case is almost identical to the antec 1200 case, only is slightly smaller and cheaper.
The changes from the antec 900 are the inclusion of dust filters on the front and side panel, which greatly reduce the amount of dust build up inside, which is a very welcome feature. The inside of the case is now sprayed black the same as the outside, which means everything looks a little more professional through the large side window. All fans can now be controlled through speed knobs on the front of the case, as well as 3 way speed switches for the back and top fans.
The case comes with 3 120mm blue LED fans, and 1 200mm big boy LED fan fitted in the top. There is the option to fit another fan on the side and yet another on the inside of one of the hard drive bays. This makes for one extremely well ventilated case, and the inbuilt cable management system helps this. Cables can all be tucked behind the motherboard tray, making for a nice tidy build. The case can hold 6 hard drives and has room for 3 CD / DVD drives at the top, and also ships with one bay adapter to fit 2.5 inch card readers as well.
I could not recommend this case any more strongly, the only one i have found to be better is the antec 1200, which gives you slightly more room to work with, but has all the same brilliant features. The case has adequate room for most full ATX builds, and runs cool enough for the most ambitious builds. A double radiator can easily be fitted to the back of the case where the two 120 mm fans are, and there is plenty of room for a pump and pipes inside. If you are looking for a silent build i would not recommend this case. Although the non-toolless design reduces noise from resonating loose parts, the sheer amount of fans means the case is going to be noisy.
