Flexibility is a key feature of the Magnum 6x60 LTO Library. It can easily expand from a 6 drive, 60 slot library into a powerful 8 drive, 143 slot library with a simple firmware upgrade. Magnum 6x60 accommodates changing storage needs without requiring re-configuration of your rack, adding storage columns or additional library modules. Magnum 6x60 comes standard with partitioning capability, allowing users to create as many as four SCSI "virtual libraries" or up to 6 native Fibre Channel "virtual libraries" within a single Magnum 6x60, for the ultimate in flexibility and efficiency. Support for LTO-1, LTO-2, LVD SCSI and native Fibre Channel drives all within the same library unit, all at the same time, is also a standard feature; further increasing your Return on Investment and providing for the ultimate in scalability.

Field installable interface cards enable users to mix multiple interfaces (SCSI and Fiber Channel) for flexible connectivity options. Remote management is a standard feature on all Magnum 6x60 libraries, providing users with the ability to manage their data storage either directly from the library's front panel display, or from a remote location via a Web interface connection. Native Fiber Channel capability results in optimized performance for SAN applications without the cost, performance and reliability issues associated with other routed Fiber Channel implementations.
