The 9084 MTC changers are freestanding devices. Each model consists of an electromechanical cartridge changer system and an MTC drive integrated as standard. Thanks to the number of cartridge slots (up to 21 on the 9084-221), these cartridge changers represent a very affordable and powerful solution for data storage (backup) and archiving on LTO magnetic tape cartridges. The integrated barcode reader guarantees optimum media management, ensuring fast, tape-friendly inventory of the data media in the storage slots. The system supports direct and random access to the cartridges. All the 5U-high models can be easily integrated into a 19-inch standard rack.
