Fujitsu Siemens FibreCAT TX24 ... drive (full height). It offers space for up to an impressive 19.2TB (LTO-3, compressed) respectively 9.6TB (LTO-2, compressed). With two drives and a backup software like NetWorker the FiberCAT TX24 supports media cloning, i.e. a backup is written to two tapes at the same time. One of those two sets is normally exported immediately to increase data protection. The FiberCAT TX24 is typically used in a 19" industry standard rack and features an import/export slot and a build-in barcode reader. The FiberCAT TX24 is great for unattended backup, reducing the risk of manual errors dramatically. Featuring 24 slots, it could cover 24 working days, more than a month of unattended backup. This makes the FiberCAT TX24 the ideal tape library for small and medium sized enterprises and branch offices.
