HP Storageworks MSL5052SL ... with features such as hot plug drives, dual redundant power supplies and five cPCI I/O slots normally found in enterprise libraries, to offer maximum reliability, uptime and investment protection. With the highest capacity in its class of products in a compact 10U form factor, the library is available in tabletop and rackmount versions. Managing backup and restore operations are simplified with a GUI-based touch screen, user-friendly control panel and management and diagnostics utilities, such as StorageWorks Tape Storage Management Console (TSMC). Multi-unit modular scalability, up to four modules provides future growth opportunity and investment protection. In addition the MSL5052SL can be scaled with the StorageWorks MSL5026 to provide flexibility in capacity growth.

This unique product introduces hot plug drives into this segment. This capability allows the replacement of or additions to online tape drives without interrupting backup or restore operations to customers' mission critical data.
