The drive's bundled software includes solutions for companies looking to back up their Windows NT and NetWare servers, PC workstations, peer-to-peer networks, as well as SCO UNIX servers. If you are looking to backup your Windows NT or NetWare server, Replica Backup offers a One-Button Backup feature that allows you to initiate backup by simply clicking on an icon. The Scheduler allows you to arrange unattended backups for any time, with no server downtime. You can schedule backups during work hours since workers can both read and write during the backup session. If you need to restore files, you can do it in Windows Explorer by simply dragging and dropping files from the backup tape to the server hard drive. HP's Colorado Backup II also provides companies running Windows 95, 98, and Windows NT Workstation with the One Button Backup and Scheduler features, as well as Disaster Recovery and fast full PC backup and restore. The T20i also comes with a driver for SCO UNIX that allows you to use the SCO UNIX's built-in backup utilities (without compression). The T20i's software bundle also includes TapeAssure and TapeAlert. HP's TapeAssure provides SCSI troubleshooting to guide you through the installation process. The utility performs power-up and basic operational tests and helps you isolate any hardware and software problems. Then once the drive is correctly installed and you begin your backups, TapeAlert continuously monitors the status of the drive and media throughout the backup session. If a problem arises, it displays suggested actions on-screen in language that doesn't require a network administrator to understand. The T20i reads and writes to Travan TR-5 and QIC-3220 tapes and reads TR-4 and QIC-3095 tapes.
