IBM 2U SDLT320 Tape Autoloader 3623 Model 2SX ... designed for the midrange IBM eServer xSeries environment. This model incorporate a Single Digital Linear Tape (SDLT) IBM Generation 2 Tape Drive, which more than doubles tape drive performance over the previous generation SDLT Tape Drives, up to 16MB/sec native data transfer rate (32 MB/sec with 2: 1 compression). In addition, with the use of the new IBM SDLT Data Cartridges, the SDLT320 Tape Drive has the capability of writing twice as much data, up to 1.28TB native capacity (2.56TB with 2: 1 compression). IBM SDLT320 Tape Drives can read and write original SDLT Data Cartridges at original SDLT Gen 1 capacities and with improved performance up to 16 MB/sec native data transfer rate (32MB/sec with 2: 1 compression).
