Tandberg 2U Autoloader ... space has often become more limited as more hardware is introduced. To tackle this, individual products are becoming smaller, while larger products are placed in standard 19" racks. The new Tandberg 2U Autoloader is a combination of both: the access of the common LTO and SDLTtechnology with an autoloader-body in two rack units allows large storage capacities within limited space and optimal integration in a rack-installation. Tandberg 2U Autoloaders provide automated tape protection at the price of a single tape drive. It is provided either with a SDLT600, SDLT320, LTO2 or LTO1 drive and can be equipped with 8 SDLTtapeII, SDLTtapeI, LTO2 or LTO1-cartridges, offering average native capacities ranging from 800 GB to 2.4 TB.
