VXA are available in three different cartridge capacities (40/80GB, 86/172 GB and 160/320 GB), providing VXA-320 users the flexibility to choose the capacity that best meets their current storage and budget needs with the ability to add capacity on demand, simply by using larger capacity VXA Tapes. VXA uses AME, which provides significantly longer tape life than other tape technologies - 500 minimum uses - as compared to only 99 maximum recommended uses for DDS tapes.
